What a day

Ever seen a bunch of middle aged men running around shooting each other with paint ball guns in 100 degree heat? :smiley8:

I had to go to in-service training today. We practiced traffic stops with paint ball guns. They provided us with protective gear...A cheap ass mask.

So...I'm approaching a vehicle during a stop. I take a tactical approach to the vehicle. To make a long story short a guy jumps out of the car and shoots me twice in the face with a paint ball gun...No biggie...I have on a cheap ass mask.

So in the process of retreating my cheap ass mask comes off and a third shot hits me smack in the nose. Ever seen blood mingle with orange paint?:smiley40: Ever had paint in your eye? :smiley2:

Well...They soon called off the whole thing when one of my buds nearly passed out from heat exaustion...Looks like he had Mexican for lunch.:smiley3:

I'm going back for round two tomorrow.

Sounds like fun! (and you're getting paid to do this right?)

Yep...My regular pay plus a state supplement. I'm making about twice my regular pay to get bloodied.

say the word and I will come own you old timers. I use to play all the time and can sympathize with the heat.

For my upcoming deployment we got to play war also. Although not with paint guns. We had M-16's with blanks. I amazed myself by finishing my camelpak, 80oz of water, in about 3 hours. I didn't know I could drink that much water in 3 hours. I was close to what I needed for the day in water intake which is 109oz. That just short of one gallon. Needless to say, I wasn't dehydrated that day. :smiley36: Which was a good thing because we where also defending a village from the enemy. The really cool thing was in the end the instructors started something they call fun time. They give us the rest of the ammo and then charge us. You can empty a 20 round clip quick! :smiley37:

I saw some of the police recruits doing that last saturday. Looked kinda fun.

Never played paintball but heard stories. really would love to try it but more like in the 70 to 80 degree weather :smiley2:

Only time I ever played paintball......I got a direct hit in the sack......I'll trade ya for your bloody nose sarge......never played that f'in game again.

this happened to a friend of mine. after months of trying to get him to play he finally gives in only to be shot almost point blank in goods. never played again.

I still laugh at people that wear "cups" out to paintball. I am sure my day will come but till then...

Sounds like a fun day at the "office".

My roomate in college had what looked like a third nipple from a paintball shot for about 4 months.

I saw a guy get hit in the nuggets once...and I wore a cup to paintball ever after. He was on the ground for like 2 hours.

Anyway, hope the next CAM (Cheap Ass Mask) works better and you take them sum' bitches out. :smiley37:

For full effect, the paintballs should be frozen... Even better - crank up the psi when they're frozen... :smiley22:

I know of a reporter in Salt Lake City, Utah took a hit to the hand with a frozen paintball during a public demonstration that got out of hand - and it had quite a devastating effect. (Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County and the Utah Highway Patrol use paintballs as a way of marking demonstrators for later arrest - and have paintballs filled with pepper juice - nasty stuff). :smiley37:
