If I'm at a red light, I'll turn down the music no matter what it is. :smiley17:
Yeah yeah. I'll jack one from Office Space and go with, "Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta". :smiley37:
So this is songs that we don't want anyone else to know we listen to?
Dancing Queen
TampaSupremo
forget the songs what about when the commercials start playing :smiley2:
eminem-Don't even want friends to know
Also, I don't have this playing on my radio, but about once or twice a week, I pass this strip club called the "Copacabana". I have not seen a day that I can resist singing out loud "at the copa, copacabana". It makes me laugh just thinking about it it now.
Bohemian rhapsody, If I leave it cranked I can't resist the urge to head bang.
Anything by Culture Club.Love 'em,just dont want everyone to know:smiley36:
pop-punk, I hate it in principle, but it's just so much fun to listen to. I have so much angst.
Ice Ice baby. No, I turn down Stern & Bubba the Love Sponge. Don't want to offend anyone.
Anything by that silly band 1817 or Justin Timberlake.
Elton John....can't help singin' out loud to most of his stuff.
Good thread. Here are a few bands that I have been rocking in the truck lately that I turn down at lights etc fearing stereotyping.
Bread
Beastie Boys
Scorpions
Oh, and of course my relaxation series and Wayne Dyer inspirational CDs are kept at a lower volume too.
The only time I have to turn the volume down at red lights is when I decide to bring sexy back.... YEAH
"I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred. :smiley36:
OK, I actually don't listen to this one, but if I did, I wouldn't want anyone to know about it!
The music of the guitar / banjo duelling in the movie Deliverance. I have it burned on a disc in the wifes car.
I Don't Feel Like Dancing- The Scissor Sisters
Hollaback Girl- Gwen Stefani
Justin Timberlake...there, I said it...I feel so dirty
None that I can think of. I put up with 30 years of people playing rap, crap and hip hop at blasting levels, so now I get back by cranking open the windows, lighting up a stick and blaring some good ole' Michael Buble, Pink Martini, Frank Sinatra, or something else I love.
I'm a chick so I can get away with pretty much anything. :smiley4:
However, I don't like people knowing I listen to any rap or Hip-Hop. I'm so anti those two types of music, but every now and then, I'll hear a song I like...
"This is why I'm Hot." by Mims for example.
Brimful of Asha-Cornershop
"45!"

My parents were big Olivia Newton-John, Donna Summer and Petula Clark fans ...... so I listen to their stuff for *Cough* nostalgia's sake?
I also do some theatre work.... so I normally don't blare the old showtunes.
Sir Mix-A-Lot, Baby Got Back (I can't help but love this song)
The Sugarhill Gang, Rappers Delight
The Cranberries
On a completely different note, if I'm at a light and New Age Girl by Dead Eye Dick, or Safety Dance by Men Without Hats comes on, I blast it!! Kinda f:smiley35:ed up.
"Because your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, well, they're no friends of mine!"
Have truer words ever been spoken?:smiley9:
I've been listening to a lot of early Daniel Johnston ever since I watched that one documentary. Good stuff to zone out to, but I get insecure when other people enter the room.
:smiley5:
Natalie Merchant.
I absolutely love her.
Good tunes, nothing wrong with those. :smiley20:
I remember when I was kid listening to Gloria Estafan and Madonna in the car with my mom. If I hear one of the songs my mom used to make me listen to, I'll usually stop and listen. :smiley36:
I'd say the most "embarrassing" music I listen in my car is probably Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies. I love their music. If it's on, the windows are usually down, and I'm jamming out. :smiley37:
I don't usually turn it down, but I do get strange looks when I'm playing Kelly Clarkson.
