Yeah, I'm soliciting for votes...

My wife is an art teacher here on Long Island. She teaches Photography and media arts(graphic design). Her students submitted work for a contest that can win their art depart a $10k prize. The students had to design 4 sets of sneakers for Vans to enter into this contest. They worked very hard on this project and could use the prize to upgrade some equipment in their classrooms.

Voting opens at Midnight(Pacific time), 4/16 and runs until Midnight, Sunday 4/18.

Thanks everyone. We've closed the gap to about 260 votes. We were down about 500 last night.

We're winning by 50 votes! We are still pushing for votes. The kids are all over the place handing out fliers. They are really working their butts off for this, they deserve to win. If anyone hasn't voted yet please do, we can really use the help. Thanks again everyone for your votes!

Now the kids get to go to California all exspenses paid for 5 days in May. I think now the people at Vans choose the winner. The winner gets $10k for their art department.

On a side note. I may be going to Cali with them, since my wife should go with her students. She doesn't want to leave the baby for 5 days, so we would take her with us. This is still up in the air right now.
