A Lesson in Generosity

Attention Everybody!!!

For those who have been around awhile and have been watching the battle here on this board, and for those who are brand new wondering why all the harsh words about Scotty from Ggiese and CoventryCat, let me just remind everyone who the good guys are!!!

I met up with Ggiese at his favorite local shop today, we were meeting for the first time and so had brought a few gifts for each other. Well, George was too kind and gifted me these:

Ggiese and Coventry represent what cigar boards are all about, generosity, paying it forward and spreading the love of the leaf. They are the good guys who are trying to keep the boards clean so that we can interact with each other as Ggiese and I have and know that we're not getting screwed over, lied to, or cheated.

In all seriousness - Actually, I learned everything I know about being generous from the likes of Ken (CigarSarge). If y'all know what he did for me, my tiny contribution to Sean would be snickered at...

But, more importantly - I sincerely hope we all take that away from our experience here. If I bomb you - pay it forward. The next new person you chat with who doesn't know crap about cigars, drop a coupla your favs in the mail to them. That's what it's all about!!

Yes, I agree. When I was deployed to Ecuador a bud of mine (who also smokes) brought 150+ cigars with him and I just had about 10. We believed we were going to be able to pick some up there. Where we were, Cigars were not the "in" thing. Only one shop sold them and at outragious prices. When I ran out, he hooked me up with about 12 Cigars without a second thought and told me if I need more to let him know.

When I was at a bar with a few buds, a friend saw me smoking my Cigars and said they wondered what it was like. I gave them my last Romeo y Julieta (and last Cigar) without second thought. They asked how much, and I told them Cigar smokers never ask for money, we just ask that you enjoy :smiley14:.

I've said it once and I'll always say it 1000 times, smoking a Cigar is a wonderful relaxing hobby, smoking with a bud makes it 100+ more rewarding!

Even thought I haven't been in the cigar world very long I've already come across several very generous and kind people.
