your friend sounds like a wise man,you though not so much
I'd love to give you my thoughts on the Backwoods Honey Berry but I would not smoke one - not even on a bet. I can't imagine you'll find many others on this board that have tried one either.
Perhaps you might want to steer clear of gas stations, stop by a cigar store and pick up a REAL cigar. You might be surprised and delighted that it's far better than a Backwoods. :smiley2:
Better yet, have your buddy join the forum, and we can bust your balls as a group.
Nice job tagging this thread "cigars"... you think there might be any other threads on this forum that should be tagged "cigars"?
:smiley29:
What's a tag? :smiley3:
If you find a "gas station cigar" forums, I'm sure they'll share your enthusiasm for Backwoods smokes. I'm not sure you'll find the same enthusiasm here.
As far as "real cigars"... I'm not sure you could compare a Backwoods smoke to a "real cigar". Since I'm not quite sure what your experience with "real cigars" is, but I'm thinking if you've been purchasing them at the same place as the Backwoods smokes you would think Backwoods is a step up.
And your Freudian slip of calling the Backwoods "satin" is pretty accurate. :smiley2:
Hey Trevonator... how old are you? :smiley2: No really, how old?
First of all, I disn't mean to say satin. But you probably already knew that. Second of all, I only just had my first backwoods, and I have had much much much better, 30 dollar cigars. Actually, only one. It was an ashton. I forget what kind. Third of all, I don't get high quality Ciara often because I like the short smoke time and I like to buy them in bulk.
One of my big complaints about gas station cigars is about the additives. This tobacco was likely not aged alongside dried berries to impart the flavor. It is most likely inferior scraps of tobacco and paper that has been sprayed with sugar and artificial flavorings. Not for me.
Yes tags are extremely important, like the tag techron for instance.
wait a second...I think I got it.
Are we on candid camera? :smiley3:
Admitted juvie banned...
we gotta take the ban hammer away from you! LOL
poor kid - not only is he smoking backwoods, but now he's excised from the one place he could learn about good cigars... Mmmmwwwwaaaaahhhhhhh.... :smiley19:
(though I do believe he was lying about his age - I personally believe he's closer to 6)
BACKWOODS cigars are made from 100% Natural additive free unprocessed leaf tobacco. wrapped in a natural leaf..no filler crap. As surprising as this is the flavor is only applied to the end you put in your mouth. Id call it more or less what the name implies...a. backwoods cigar wrapped by hand and the quality might surprise you... DONT GET ME WRONG...its not a cuban hand spun dream smoke but its also no swisher tar paper vegetable stick. I suggest trying one some time even..but go with their "sweet aromatic" cuz fruit flavored tips are geared toward people who smoke weed blunts. Backwoods might surprise you and they will save you in a pinch as they are not unpleasant..believe it or not. Try not to spew false info based on your limited knowledge of something...and dont come off like you know something because you assume it to be like other products sold in similar locations...if your so classy then let your attitudes reflect it and your knowledge of what you criticise back you.
It appears we have a new member extolling the virtues of Backwoods cigars again... I suppose next she'll make an argument for Acid cigars too! :smiley11:
Sorry Acidtrip, Backwoods does contain "Homogenized Tobacco". And despite your insistance it ain't so, I do believe that meets the definition of a "filler"...
But the truth is - it's very clear your ignorance about cigars, based upon your very profound professed love of Backwoods over cigars, makes it completely impossible for you to make any fair comparison between Backwoods whatevertheyare and premium hand-rolled cigars - even at the cheap end of hand-rolled cigars. Just because you say so does not make it so. Bottom line - like it or not - the comparison is truly apples to oranges.
Good luck with your quest, though! :smiley20:
