Cigars for troops.

Ok here's the deal guys. I am maybe in need for some cigars. My friends and I know a marine in Afghanistan. They have a smoking club over there and he is a part of it. We will be sending them some smokes but the problem is that we have no idea how many guys will be involved. Now we may be doing a thing where we buy a couple of boxes and send some full boxes over or we may be sending loose sticks. What I am doing here is gauging interest in who may be willing to send me some smokes to send or some cash depending on if we just go and buy boxes to send. Let me know guys.

Added: Ok the group that we are sending it to is a group called the Talibanned Cigar Aficionado Club on Camp Eggers in Kabul. http://tali-bannedcigaraficionadoclub.com/ We are sending the cigars to a Marine friend of mine's buddy named Jim who is stationed on Camp Phoenix. He travels to smoke with the club.

Awesome guys! looks like we will being doing cash for boxes. I have a really decent B&M about an hour from me that I will be going to on Sunday, we're going to try to talk him into making us a deal. My step son is a US Marine presently based at Camp Pendleton. He has already done a 7 month tour in Afghanistan and will be going back in Sept for his second one. I'll be sending him some cigars when he goes. I'm wondering though, is there more than one USMC base in Afghanistan? If so, which one will these donations go to?

If Steven's going to be in the camp we're donating to that'd be real cool and I could let him know so he can take advantage of it when he's there on his tour.

Alright anyone who still wants to send a donation. We are looking at getting this thing ready to go this weekend so please get money out before then or at the very least send me a notification about how much you are pledging to this. Thank you guys again so much for helping out. Myself and my friend asked about this at work and I have to say the guys here have thus far kicked the crap out of the guys at work. It is awesome, and slightly disappointing at the same time, that guys on a website that only know me through forum posts really would band together behind this idea more so than people I have known for years. Once again you guys are amazing.

So we purchased the cigars today and all told we were able to raise $812 for the troops. We spent $811.90 lol. We purchased the equivalent of 11.5 boxes of smokes and sent them on their way. Thank you guys again so much for the help with this. Stay tuned because we have made Jim promise to send us pictures when the smokes arrive.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the cigars made it to the Jim 2 days ago. He was very excited and said the box weighed like 17lbs. He has not gotten with the other guys yet but I am eagerly awaiting pictures.
