'Afternoon.
welcome, I brew and ride also.
Welcome to the community.
All this talk about brewing beer... I've always wanted to give it a shot, I dont have to go back to work untill the 3rd... Maybe I should pick up a hobbie that doesn't involve well, working....

Other than a starter kit, you'll need a large pot and about 50 brown, crown bottles (like Sam Adams bottles)... And an ingredient kit, but they usually include that in the cost of a starter kit...
Some shops may also offer kegging starter kits if you don't want to deal with bottles. I'm looking at a Tap-A-Draft system after years of bottling, myself.
If you have any brewing questions, lemme know...

Don't forget a bottle capper. Some starter kits do not contain them. If you decide not to go that route, then purchase some Grolsch beer. The Holland lager is excellent (one of my favorites) and the bottles with their rubber stopper can last 4-6 batches before losing their luster.
Welcome nic!!:smiley20:
A friend of Altbier's is a friend of ours..:smiley17:
Now, if you told me you were friends with a guy named Eric Turner (TBSCigars) I'd have to ask Altbier to shoot you on sight.:smiley36:
Welcome! Didnt know I was so influential? :smiley36: (Is that spelled right cc?)
welcome to the fun!
Thanks guys. Anyone in the Seattle area that wants to see what brewing beer is all about, is welcome to come help me make a batch.
WAIT A MINUTE!!
Is this the same "nic" from Seattle on CigarPass?:smiley36: (Loaded question, I already know the answer to that).
We thought you dropped off the face of the earth!!
Welcome!!!
And stay the hell away from that CC character, or he'll have you spelling and writing properly... A guy's got to have a few character flaws... :smiley4:
Indeed it is.Quote:

You got what pass out late?:smiley17: ggiese seems to never get his box passes out on time:smiley36: so what's the big deal?:smiley37:Quote:

First off, Scotty has been BANNED from just about every cigar board on the 'net.
Big100HD was more than just a little late sending out CigarSnobs lotto winnings on more than one occasion AND he has the dubious distinction of being THE ONLY one out of 107 people on CigarPass to NOT have sent out his Secret Santa package yet this year.
BrownDevil sits there holier than thou pointing the finger at you when I'd be a fiver of cigars, HE was the one that lost the pass list besides, WHO CARES, it was lost and ALostTexan should have given you the necessary information so you could get the pass on its way.
ALostTexan, well, let's just say his distinguished record of running passes leaves something to be desired, just ask wkmang:smiley36:
Oh, of course the "what happens on other sites STAYS on other sites" defense could be used here nic but honestly, I'm not a fan of that one:smiley36: However, I see NOTHING wrong at this point considering the irony of that whole fiasco with that pass. You were late getting it out, you apologized, you did fair puts and takes so WTF?
I still say WELCOME to CigarSmokers.
