Posters/Art/Related wall "stuff"

Ok, so here's the deal.

I have just moved and we are renting a house. I have set myself up a nice little "cigar loft" above the garage. It was a total mess when we moved in, ancient storage, tons of dust (inches of it!), etc. When I went up to clean it up and arrange it a bit better I discovered 4 chairs and some wood and other junk. From that I built a low table and cleared enough space so that now it is a cozy little cigar loft where I can go to smoke in peace. For the winter season I have a propane "Mr. Heater" up there. :smiley41:

What I want to do is to spice it up a bit with some cigar related decoration. Its pretty rustic being basically a wood storage loft amongst the beams but has a certain character. Where would you guys suggest I go to get that kind of thing? I'm open to any cigar related decoration ideas or suggestions.

Also, any suggestions on ventilation, purifiers, etc. Since even though it is outside, if a bunch of people are up there it could get quite smokey.

If you have a good B&M in the area they might have some items for you. I had alot of neat wood plaques that I took off of display boxes. I used to save them for a customer that was decorating his cigar den.

if you get on ebay, you can find cigar box art prints for pretty cheap. i believe i remember seeing a good many on there a couple of months back.

I hate you for this suggestion... I just bought another humidor on ebay as a result. Doh! :smiley26:

mind you... it was one of those multi drawer ones like a few people had in the humidor pictures thread.... and I managed to snipe it for $31.00.... :smiley36: :smiley37:

Well, on a slightly different note, cigar memorabilia and artifacts are always cool. I have several antique ashtrays and humidors that I am saving for a display case if I can ever get my smoking room past the wife.

Pick a theme or era and or style and it will be easier to decorate from there. Ebay is good, flea markets may be better if you have the time. As part of a side business that is very much what I am into old cigar gear. When I am on line I will shoot you over a URL of things I come across if you want. :smiley27:

How about a cigar band board.

Piece of wood, spraymount, varnish and frame. Attach bands with spraymount, varnish over the top and attach frame. Shouldn't work out to expensive and will be unique.

AWESOME!!!!! Suddenly I have a bunch of free wall space that I am looking to fill. Some of these are awesome... the exact theme I was looking to go with.... kinda that retro throw back type thing.

any more links to some places that i can get some cigar art? i've been on the hunt for box label art. I really like the Fuente, Fonsesca, and La Aroma de Cuba artwork.

We're on the lookout for a table to put my new humidor on and want to decoupage the top. I want to find something and enlarge it to cover the table.

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions or old boxes you don't want/need anymore. I'll pay shipping or can pay with cigars.

You just made me think... find your favorite cigar box cover, scan it, and take it to a print shop to enlarge it. Then you can laminate it onto a table and polyurethane over it. Sounds crazy enough to work.

we were thinking about doing that. but i want the ones listed above, and i don't have any of the boxes. :smiley6: but i found an auction on ebay with 10 La Aroma de Cuba boxes for cheap.

Cuesta Rey would be a cool one too.
