As the purchase of Cuban cigars is illegal in the U.S., I think it would be wise of you to remove the link and name of the source from your post.
Delete the entire post. Do not post any pictures what so ever. Never list or openly discuss sources on the forum.
Please review the following post
http://www.cigarsmokers.com/t494-official-policy-on-cuban-cigars.html
There is a section towards the bottom of the main page entitled rules and regulations. Please familiarize yourself to them all.

Tyler is right. Read the Rules section, maphic:
Official Policy on Cuban Cigars
As much as it pains me to do so, I would like to officially declare that the sale or trade of Cuban Cigars (ISOM’s) are not be discussed on this board. Please do so in private. I am not enacting this policy because of any particular post/thread. I simply want to keep this board a clean, fun place for everyone’s enjoyment. The bottom line is that Cigarsmokers.com is owned and operated in the United States and Cuban cigars are illegal here. Black market wares bring nothing but trouble.
If you would like to discuss an experience or post a review about a Cuban cigar, that is fine so long as it does not involve buying, selling, or trading with in the United States.
Sorry guys, but I'm not going to jeopardize this community or myself for the enjoyment of anyone.
As soon as it becomes apparent that the trade embargo has been lifted, or someone can prove to me that allowing these type of posts will not fall back on the forum, then this ban will be removed.
well then delete my thread
Or you can just educate yourself to the rules of the board and edit your post.
or you can delete. i dont mind my post.
i got popcorn just in time for lunch! with sugar! anyone?
there, now a mature mod can delete the thread. because having people quote what i said defeats the purpose of my erasing my initial post.
A mature member would have educated himself and never posted what you did.
Some of the reasons behind rules such as this are:
1: - Cubans are illegal in the US (but you know this)
2: - Don't for a min. think there isn't a anti-cuban group or governmental agency that has software to search forums just for this type of post containing this type of information.
3: - reason being, once you post the entire process the Treasury department could track packages from this vendor and bust the purchasers in the US.
You may not care if you violate US law but I know there are many people out there that would appreciate it if you don't get them busted.
Maphic.... here's your intro, just in case you forgot...
...then after having had what was probably an honest mistake pointed out to you, you reply with...
...then...
...and now...
Sooooo..... It seems you searched and searched and searched for a good forum and after 25 posts it's apparant that you made no effort to do any research into the community, you've busted a request from the board provider with no hint of humility or remorse; just a questionable attitude... and are already stirring the shit with one of the guys who made your long searched for home what it is.
I need to go get some popcorn and think about this a little...
It's the god-damned god-less internet, it's not like I'm going to take seriously what some guy five states away, or an ocean apart from me says on here-seriously.
maphic,
I think you're missing the original point and that was that this forum is community moderated. Posting with the content that was originally there goes against the rules of this board as laid down by Hex. Finally, all that needed to be done was to edit the post and apologize, not make it sound like you hadn't done something wrong. Just man up, apologise for the error and let it go.

All you had to do was delete the post. Not act like a child scolded for doing something they shouldn't have. There is no reason to get your panties in a bunch over this. If you don't like the way the board operates there is always Bananaland.
Quote:
apologize for what? i made a post you people didnt like. stop crying.
some of the members here have tried to give you a hand climbing out of the hole you've dug for yourself, if you don't want the help you might as well just leave, it'll just get worse and you will look like more of an asshat than you already do
tool.
HERE HERE!!!
...asshat! Learn to respect not only the senior members... but also the entire board and its rules and regulations.
This guy just doesn't get it. Posts like his could cost this community greatly. Not to mention individuals here and elsewhere personally.
Maphic - Look at the first three posts after the your initial post then see your response. All three of those posts simply ask you to delete your post and point you to the applicable rule. You're the one that got bent and acted like a child about it.
Ignorance is bliss, it seems.
yeah i understand what you are saying. i looked at the rules after i made my 2nd post. I went back to apologize and to delete my thread but basil had to act out. o well
You know, nobody really wants you or any other newbie to go away (just yet.) As someone new to cigars, it seems you wanted a community you could learn from and be part of. The folks here have made it a nice place to come to and share everything from personal experiences to cigars, and there are a lot of knowledgable, friendly, experienced and generous folks here who will make the hobby more enoyable for you. If your goal is truly to be "amused" then go away now. It's not what this place is about and you will never fit in.
Just like any other community, you will figure out over time who you do and don't want to talk to. But coming on as a new member, it's inappropriate to try to disrupt things because you personally feel slighted. A lot of members made the same mistake you did when they first came onto the boards. But they got past it and if you can you will be rewarded.
Now it's up to you.
If you got all bent out of shape over that little jab, then you ain't seen nothing yet. Grow a thick skin, learn to respect the board and the people who have been on here building a community for years, then you will be a welcomed member. Come in here an insult one of us, you've insulted the community, and ye have stirred up a shitstorm of biblical proportions.
I just dug out my hard Arkansas stone .............
I'm certainly not crying. You need to get over yourself and figure out some of us are trying to help you get out of the hole you are digging for yourself with your holier-than-thou attitude. Personally I couldn't give a rats ass about you at this point. You'll either repent or dig a deeper hole and end up banned. Either way I know that I tried to help you out with some friendly advice and all you could do was make a post like the above instead of eating some humble pie. That, AND I can still walk down the street and buy Cuban cigars legally in my town. :smiley44:

I was told in a PM that people on here probably have not tried to order any cubans off the net. So i went out and ordered some and thought i would post a review about the whole situtation thinking maybe some of you would be interested in ordering, like i did. i was just doing something that i thought most of you have not done. i thought i was going to get "cool. i hope they are real.", " if they are real, ill try to order some also", etc.
i was just trying to make others feel comfortable, and trustworthy of at least one site out there to the point where they may want to order some also.
o well.
