Have you received a PM from SFG75 asking you to sign up on LTC?

I'm just wondering if Scotty didn't sign up here in order to recruit new people to LetsTalkCigars aka "The Island ofthe Misfit Toys"

This is a site run by a couple of children from California who have very little knowledge and experience with cigars and no clue how to run an on-line BB.

Scotty and PuroBrat have found a "home" over there because they are "persona non-grata" on many other sites. The "Island" has become a virtual ghost town and I suspect Scotty is trying to recruit people from here to join him on the Island.

Have YOU received a PM from him suggesting that you "check out" LetsTalkCigars?

This is all kind of amusing since I spend more time here than over there. I had no idea that there is a law stating that you have to spend your time at one board and one board only. :smiley24: The word "recruiting" is very dishonest as it implies that once a person signs up at a place, that they drop one site and spend all of their time at the new one. Can you name one person who has done this that I "recruited" Billy?

We had a rules system where simple things like respecting others and not slamming people were not tolerated at all. 1800 members and only half are active. It's funny, you get a newbie wave about every six months and then people mysteriously disappear. Why?, some get bored, but others head to HP or CW(both of which have more online members at any time of the day) because they don't want to suck up to eight guys who insult others at will. Thriving, Scotty??? When was LTC ever thriving... It seemed to me it was thriving when shit was hitting the fan - when all the heavy handed modding started. When there was "secret" strikes against members. Yep, that's right folks - Scotty and his "team" of mods over there would meet in chat behind closed doors - assign "strikes" to members of LTC based upon their subjective opinions. When they liked the person who was flaming, they would not issue a strike - when they thought it had something to do with "those people" (meaning people associated with members of CP and other boards Scotty was Persona Non Grata at) they issued strikes like a home plate umpire.

And then when the board started crumbling because everyone was outing the heavy handed tactics, Zac lowered the Iron Curtain and made the site private... What a GREAT move... Those few individuals, the "Misfit Toys" - you know, the toys nobody wanted to have anything to do with - decided to create a Utopia amongst themselves. Great plan, there, Scotty... Worked like a charm... You guys gave each other back slaps and high fives to the point where you couldn't stand to do it anymore. You and your pals lurked on the other boards, looking for signs they were talking about you. And no one was. No one was watching the Island - no one was paying attention to the Island - the board just sank, and sank, and sank... People started realizing how truly lame the site was.

The best part of this story, which Scotty won't address or admit - LTC banned some great people. People like AlexGTP, who was over there to make the site better - much to the pain of other people on other boards. Alex stood up for himself, despite people asking him WTF, and then as a result of his associations (and his occasional disagreement with the other mods and the site admin, Zac), Alex was banned. Why was Alex banned, Scotty??? You know the reason... Because he DARED to say that the flaming needed to run its course - just like Hex allowed here. He told all of you how childish you were being.

Now comes the latest membership drive. You want to regain the days of old - when you were head cheese... You're doing a great job of attracting quality members over there. I'm really getting to like this board. It surely is much different than the Island. But boy, I see this is just eating the crap out of you, Scotty - Hex allowing opinions to flow. All of us - LabMonkey, Roham, Drake, CC, Me, Scotty - allowed to say what we please. While I'm sure you, Scotty, would like this fight to polarize a bit more - is sure hasn't. And boy would you be in HEAVEN if they banned CC and/or myself... Why, Scotty - would you "win"???

I don't think Scotty realizes it, but he is losing. With an ego the size of a Mack truck, I doubt he catches it. While he has made friends of some of the members of this board, he's too egotistical to realize that while he thinks he's winning over droves of friends, others are looking at how truly pathetic and sad he is.

I know you're going to accuse me of siding with Bill on this, but the facts speak for themselves. Scotty - your personality is shining through all of your posts - exactly as CC said it would. Clearly you are baiting CC into arguments for the sake of trashing him on so-called neutral ground. And equally clear is your plan of attack against CC - as you have laid out in your strategy PM's to other members.

A while back I told you I was on the fence with you. I saw what was going on at CP and said, "WTF!" I saw you attack people over there that you had no business attacking - and then apologize - and then attack again. Make a post that others back up what you say - that you were flawless and it wouldn't stick. How you had the backing of other members of the board in your opinions. I stood on the sidelines watching, trying to figure out your motivation. Now I CLEARLY see what your motivation is... Feeding your ego - making you the center of attention - "master passer", "flawless", and other such equally disgusting terms.

You again proved this with your latest series of attacks. When there is a lull in the arguing here, you just had to start up with CC. This is a classic example of why you are persona non grata at CP.

Your reputation is out there. People know what you're about. While new people may warm up to you initially, eventually your personality shines through and you will be right back to where you are. You can't help it Scotty, you are who you are.

Maybe you should stay in a large group setting, like CigarWeekly or Herfer's Paradise, where the focus can't always be on you. With that ego of yours, when you get in a larger group setting like that there are more people to pummel you when you make an ass out of yourself. That'll keep you in check.

So - don't blame all your woes on Bill, or Leebo, or Judge Judy, or JoeM, or Mo, or anyone else - just keep it up Scotty - you are your own worst enemy...

When confronted with it he lied and denied that he was "LetsTalk" on CigarPass. Rod confirmed to us that Zac was indeed lying and that made people even more upset or did you forget that part? Zac kept his lie going for at almost two months before he posted his apology post.

And yes, Zac did indeed remove your moderating priviliges. I will not email that little $hit in order for him to confirm your lie because he won't respond to me and if he did, he'd just lie because as I've already laid out for all to see, Zac is a proven liar and cannot be trusted just like you Scotty.

Bill, your opininon of how I moderated is completely irrelevant. There is one person and one person only whose opinion matters-and that is Zac's. It's his website, it's his rules, and how it's run is completely up to him. No other moderator disputed that your friends acted like emotional infants. NOT ONE. They may have disagreed with how to handle a given situation, but no one said that they weren't asking for trouble.
