Introduction
Hey all.... I have been reading on the site for a few days and finally decided to introduce myself. My name is Jason, i am 26, and i live in bartlesville Oklahoma (near Tulsa).
I am a complete newb, and this all started with myself, and one of my employees talking about cigars. I'm not sure how the conversation started, but I started to read everything I could find on the internet. I then sought out a cigar shop in the area and made my first purchases. Here is what I bought: Helixx, Onyx, Punch, Fuente, Padron, and a rokey patel vintage 1990. I don't know the exact name and style of all of them, but so far my favorite has been the Padron, although I have yet to smoke the fuente, or rocky patel. Tomorrow I am going to purchase a humidor. One odd thing that I have noticed is this: I smoke cigarettes, and if I smoke a cigar.. say at night.... My cigarettes taste like ass the whole next day. Anyhow... that's me... any info, comments, or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Welcome. Good choice in cigars for your first time. Once you get a humidor set up, I recommend that you do the newbie trade sampler located in the exchange section.

Welcome. Try the Nebie Sampler Thread, we will get to pointed in the right direction!

Welcome from Maryland.
Good choice in cigars. I suggest getting a bigger humidor than you intend or setting up yourself a coolidor. Once you really get into cigars, the humidor fills up faster than you think, trust me. :smiley2:

Welcome to the board! I'm pretty new too, but getting into cigars a lot (while also getting into debt in the process:smiley2:)
I'm sure you'll enjoy that RP Vin. 90'....that brand is really good and inexpensive...

Good to have you. :smiley20:

Welcome to the forum. I think the cigarettes taste like ass because you have finally tasted real tobacco not a bunch of fillers and chemicals.
You need to kick those cigarettes anyway, they'll kill ya. :smiley36:

welcome from jersey. The RP 90 is one of my favorites.
I imagine your cigs taste like crap after a cigar b/c your taste buds got used to what real tobacco tastes like :smiley2:

First thought after smoking a Black and Mild after trying the good stuff: "Why the hell did I think this was good?"

Welcome from AZ. As said, give up the cigs, you'll need the cash for cigars anyway.

Welcome. Cigarettes are de debil.

Welcome to the boards. If you're dead set on getting a wooden humidor for decor, go for it, but I think it'd be a great idea to get a smaller cooler and just put some of the humidification beads in. It makes for a great piece of storage and it's pretty cheap too. With the money you save go buy a couple boxes of cigars and put them in the cooler.

Welcome from CA...South of Sac:smiley4:

YO YO YO.
As stated before get a larger humi than you think you need. When I first started smoking I figured all I will ever need is a Humi Jar. Next thing you know 2 months later I have 2 -100 count humi and built like a 500-600 count humi :smiley37:

Welcome, as has probably been suggested, go buy a big cooler, not a humidor. Get some beads and cigar boxes and you'll have storage for years to come. And also, as has probably been suggested, your cigarettes taste like ass because they are ass. They're sure as hell not tobacco, so quit wasting time and money on cigarettes and step up to a cigar. For the quick fixes, buy yourself cigarillos.

Yeah, can't say cigarillo's get much fanfare here b/c their mostly machine-made, but RyJ and Macundo both make cigarrilo's that are availible at drug stores...can't say the price is worth the smoke, but I guess their worth a test....
