GAME 1 THURSDAY NIGHT....SBC CENTER....8PM CENTRAL
Who has the better defense?
Spurs defense is better than Pistons.
Spurs in 6. :smiley20:
From what i've seen from Wallace in the Miami series, Duncan should'nt have any problems at all
IT's going to be an interesting series. I think the Spurs have a better defense, but Piston's defense is pretty good too...so I'm not expecting any really high scoring games. Overall I think what it comes down to again is the Spur's are a much deeper team than Detroit...if you try to hard to shut down our main guys we still have a strong bench to contend with and they will get the points anyway, so doubleteaming Duncan, Ginobli or Parker is only mildly effective if at all.

I'll guess that Detroit will WIN game 5 (which is critical in any seven game series) BUT that San Antonio will win games 6 & 7 so
San Antonio in SEVEN!
Doug? :smiley5:
:smiley2:
A buddy of mine who is a season ticket holder invited me to tonights game at the last minute. WOOHOO! :smiley20:
:smiley32: GO Spurs! :smiley32:
lets go Celtics!!!
errr... :smiley35:
Didn't the Pistons win it last year? :smiley25: I know Duncan is good and all, but Ben Wallace is something else. :smiley33:

But they came back from all of that (we had more injuries than Duncan in the last half of the season) and still made the finals.
Spurs are all healthy going into this series. We have a stronger bench presence than the Pistons, and in my opinion a better defense. THis is not going to be an easy series...it should be some damn good games....but I think the Spurs are going to come out on top.
Go Spurs Go Spurs Go Spurs

Pretty impressive ending there for the Spurs. It looked as if the Pistons were just........off. :smiley8:
Spurs 84 Pistons 69
Pistons 37 Spurs 35 at the half. Anyone picking Detroit to win this series? :smiley36:
:smiley20: Man the SBC Center was ROCKIN'!!!!!!
Obi Wan Ginobli strikes again baby!!!!!!!!!!!! :smiley20:

Something else to consider; Popovich will approach every game as a must-win, just like in the Suns series.
Not only Ginobili and Duncan won game 1. The Spurs are deeper than the Pistons, and it showed in the second half.
So how bad are the Spurs going to get whupped on tonight?

Enough said! :smiley37:
boring game though, hopefully the rest of the games are atleast closer in scores
Yeah, the game was pretty much settled by the 2nd quarter. The Pistons never got within striking distance. :smiley36: Though with the next few games at Detroit......
Spurs kicked their A$$ES.....I don't care if it was a boring game, we demoralized them right before going back to Detroit. People seem to forget the Spurs road record...(it rocked)...so all we need to do is win one game there to bring it back home to San Antonio (but we would not mind closing it out in Detroit). If we do come back here it's OVER! It has been 8 years since a Piston's team has won in San Antonio, and we sure as hell wouldn't let them get one now.
The Spurs have shown they have the depth and the talent to shut them down. Momentum goes a long way with this Spurs team....and we have a lot of it.
:smiley37:
Whens the next game, tuesday?

Doesn't look too promising folks. :smiley22: :smiley5: :smiley5: :smiley5:
Red Sox for the NBA finals.
Well as I'm sure everyone knows, the spurs got their asses handed to them tonight. I won't be a hypocrit and not post the score.
Spurs 79 Pistons 96 :smiley38:
Spurs are still gonna take it all. :smiley37:
I'm sure they'll adjust for tonight. Look for Ginobli to start playing again and for Chauncey Billups to be the only Piston who can do anything. :smiley36: :smiley36: :smiley37:
Rip Hamilton OH YEAH BABY!!! (Probably the BEST player to ever come out of UCONN)
Pistons even it up!!! San Antonio will be down 3-2 after Sunday YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHA!!!!
You Spurs fans got awfully quiet after game 3 and game 4 huh? LOLOLOLOL :smiley36: :smiley36: :smiley36: :smiley36: :smiley36:
GO PISTONS !
Something is very wrong with this Finals. These two teams are too good to be losing lopsided games to each other. :smiley21:
Wow, looks like we have a series on our hands. :smiley22:
i missed this game, im glad i did though, looks as if it would of been quite boring by looking at the score.
Painfull to watch......
pistons played a great game, but the Spurs lost it.....they beat themselves in both of these games.
Spurs aren't out of this by any means....I still think we are gonna take it. :smiley17:
I haven't. :smiley14:Quote:
