Get yourself a Coleman 48qt cooler, and some 65% or 70% himidity beads from heartfeltindustries.com, keep the small wood humidor for show, and the cooler will be room enough for a while... maybe!
I bet your cigar mess is populated with various TORPEDO shaped cigars!

Get a cooler... takes a lot longer to fill up. You can search on this board for information on how to set it up and what to do. Very easy and cheap.

I'm new here as well, but the short amount of time I've spent here has been great. Many members know a considerable deal about cigars, are very friendly, and are just an all-around classy group of people.
Make sure you check out the Newbie Sampler Thread II in the Exchange part of the forums, they have seasoned cigar smokers who are willing to provide an abundance of selection of quality cigars for exchange. I just got mine yesterday, and am very pleased.

I agree, the cooler is the way to go. Especially on a boat, nothing to break and if worse comes to worse - it floats.
