I have never had the chance to look at the Oasis or this up close, but can you provide some insight on how this works? Do they just hold water and turn a fan on when the humidity threshold is...
I bought a SVS cylinder a few years back and am very happy with it. I about took my house of the foundation "playing" with it.
Welcome aboard from WA! What is your home system setup? I dabbled as an audiophile but it is on hold until I remodel the room.
That is from his auction: 24" x 17" x 18"
If I remember correctly, he was using 3/4" plywood and 1/4" cedar. The spacer between the inner and outer wall was around 5/8".
Hope that helps.
I came across this cigar mold on cbid and thought about this thread.

I just read about another individual who was in a similar scenario who used frozen bottles of water. He opted not to put them in the box/cooler with the cigars as the condensation caused issues. He...
I try and read a lot of blind cigar reviews for this very reason. A couple on my list to try are:

I believe kevin7 was asking if you were the same Maduro Man from another forum, though the entire name is a bit different.
On another note, what are your favorite maduros? I think my favorite at...
Use a 50/50 solution instead of straight water, that should mellow out the RH.

My analog hygrometer was close to being accurate when I first got it but now has deviated quite a bit after 2 months. Right now it says my humidor is at 45%. Even $200 certified analog hygrometers...
I am starting to get the summer itch as well. Pulled the rear fender off my bike to have some work done on it in anticipation of dry days. Can't wait to get her back on the road.

I love wikipedia for this type of stuff, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cigar, but there has been some interesting debate around referencing wikipedia as there is no governance over the data or who can...
I finally had a chance to see this in person. The cabinet was made overseas and is of extermly poor construction. The drawers are all butt joints; the sides and top are only a 1/4" thick; the fit...
Remember the days when shipping took 6-8 weeks? Back then it felt like Christmas as you tended to forget about the order. It is funny how in our society of instant gratification and when we want...
I came across the following cabinet when doing some searching for cooler alternatives and can't get it out of my mind. I love the style and am going to look at it in person tomorrow. On the topic...

I am curious where you folks keep your coolidors. Are you storing them in a garage? closet? In the corner of a room?
Thanks,

I have been doing some research on various box storage solutions and recently came across an inexpensive cabinet on ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300089269946. I had a...
Nice gift! Take a look at what some of the Kimber, Ed Brown and more custom Springfield color schemes are. I like quite a few of them. The contract between the slide and the frame are nice in my...
Not bad man, I really like your frame choice. Just one question, where is the swisher sweet band!?!?

Guado sent me a generous selection of cigars for the newbie trade. I highly recommend everyone participate in this at least once.
Thanks Guado!

Funny you mention this. I brought up the same idea to him on the phone, I referenced how safes are made. I will talk to him again about it tomorrow.

I would personally pull the sponge out and let it dry some. You may have overfilled it with water/solution. Try shacking it upside down and see if you get any water out.
As for the humidor, you...
