Yep, nice thought. I would have a hard time considering someone my buddy, when I don't even know their name. But, to each their own.
They weren't offered or gifted, it was an offer to buy them for significant money each. Let's not start thinking that it was a nice offer. If I wanted to buy illegal cigars I wouldn't do it, but if I were to do it, there are some people I would trust before a complete newb on this website.

In any case, Behike's are regular production and the Internet says that the Cubans have already spread production from El Laguito (the Cohiba factory) to other factories to meet the demand. Supposedly the only bottleneck is the rollers (although people are complaining about the glue in the boxes not being cured before they get them - which means either the boxes are also being counterfeited, or ...)
Ashauler, if BB1300's from Newfoundland, then people from there use 'buddy' as a normal term for any male (and 'darling' for a female stranger). Otherwise, there is the New York (Chicago?) usage of the word ...
