Thread: How to store my cigars in humidor...

  1. Default How to store my cigars in humidor...

This is a newBEE quick question. should i space out my cigars or clump them all together in my humidor? I was wondering if its a good thing in the perfect humidity to have them piled up or have the maximum amount of air in contact with each cigar?

    Thanks for your help.

Fill 'er up. If you're spacing out your cigars in your humidor, you don't have enough cigars in your humidor.

Why don't you introduce yourself and blah blah blah the search is your blah blah blah...

Two deep, five across...or, three deep, three across with an extra on top...or, ten across...or, five high two wide....or, space them evenly 1.5 cm apart on the diagonal.

I guess it doesn't really matter, as long as your humidor is a stable rh.

    Welcome.

Just put them in your humidor and then order some more to fill it up. Don't worry about the spacing. Look in the humidor pictures thread for ideas.

Just keep them in cello until you buy boxes of cigars. In cello, it doesn't matter that much what you do.

    Welcome as well.

I agree with above recommendations. You might be thinking about this too much - put cigars in the box. Take out one (or two) at a time, and smoke. Move on.

10 cigars in a 100 count humidor is definitely not a good thing - whether you pile them together or space them all out. A humidor works optimally if it is filled - it will not work well (stable rH) if it is not filled.

Do what others have suggested - get more cigars!!!

Until you can get some more smokes in there to fill it up proper, you can put a sealed glass jar in there to take up some of that empty space. Then, go out and get you some cigars to fill it up. The newbie sampler is a great deal, give it a peak.

Live each day like it's your last, one day you'll get it right.
