Now that the bar code seals have been around for a few years, it makes for easier verification. If the box is sealed and the bar code checks out on the Habanos website, then the cigars are probably not fakes. If the box is open or the bar code has been cut off, then the cigars are probably questionable.

Today: unusually for me, a three cigar day:
Por Larrañaga Montecarlo - my favourite cigar with coffee
Los Statos de Luxe Delirios - best machine-made cigar that I have had, albeit overpowering for me.
My Father Le Bijou 1922 Corona Gorda - a year has smoothed out this cigar quite a bit.

Last night I tried a CAO LX2. Good cigar but I prefer the MX2 although I would smoke the LX2 again.

This. I don't even work for a living anymore and it's still too damned hot.

I was all set to go outside and light one up this evening - and we were just hit with a huge thunderstorm...

    Oh well - perhaps tomorrow...

Geeeeez, I'd trade you the cigar I had last night, JDN Antano lancero, for the thunderstorm. Sucks to wait until 10 pm to smoke, and still sweat.

I had an El Cobre Tuesday night and was very surprised. It was just a really good cigar.

DEAL!!! I'm working the logistics of that trade now...

How long do I have to get the thunderstorm to you? I'd express mail it, but USPS frowns on my putting "weird" things in their packages. They don't have much of a sense of humor about such things...

I smoked this last night...Padron Family Reserve No. 46

At Rocky Patel's Burn cigar bar...God of Fire Series B Maduro and Macallan 25...I really enjoyed this God of Fire...draw was good, ash was darkish gray, burn was slighty uneven but not unmanageable. It was medium to full and with the combination of the Mac 25 it capped off a nice evening.

Burn was nice and great atmosphere...with a decent humidor. Not the best but decent...

Celebrating with a Opus X Old BBMF from the 2011 Opus X Charity Box...paired with a Stella Artois, Glenmorangie Elegance 21 year, and then black coffee...

Once I started the tip of the BBMF, the draw was perfect...I am glad I've aged it (over a year now)...just absolutely smooth smoke, profuse smoke and impeccable construction...

I started the smoking day earlier while wifey was shopping with a Padron 1964 Exclusivo Maduro and coffee...

    Friday:
    Torano Casa Torano Maduro

    Saturday:
    Fuentes 8-5-8 Sungrown
(it's worth noting there was plume under the cedar wrapped around this tasty stick)

    Today:
    RyJ Churchill

Smoked a LFD Air Bender in the chisel size yesterday on the Golf course and it was amazingly tasty.

What a great day! Started out @ Tiburon GC @ Ritz Carlton Naples with a Padron 1964 Diplomatico and a round of 76...probably the best round with the driver this year...3 putted 4 times (lag putting sucked) on the back for 41.

    Padron 1964 Diplomatico

Then went back home where a buddy of mine picked up 25 lobsters for $5.99 a pound...damn feast that included oysters, clams, ceviche, and red fish.

Smoked a Padron Toro while we waited for the food to get ready...

THEN after dinner I had a Opus X Scorpio Maduro...
