You may have seen bars in the past where they put some kind of coins or currency or photographs on the top then pour this thick stuff over them so they become part of the bar top. The finish is pretty thick, maybe even as much as 1/8 of an inch.

Don't fret Bill, I probably saw this error more than any other during my stint grading papers (of course I made essays about the rock supergroup KISS a weekly assignment).

BTW, I think your bartop looks fantastic. My dad had a Pachinko machine and when my sister and I went to visit we played with that damn thing ALOT.
