    Default Dumb Movie Endings

So, I was over at the future brother/sister-in-laws last night, and was going to watch the expanded version of The Abyss, a movie that has somehow eluded me up until this point. For 2.5 hours of the 3 hour movie, I thought it was good. But then the ending was obnoxious it was so cheesy! I felt ripped off. Then, I find out that Mr. Titanic / I somehow can't be married anymore to Linda Hamilton James Cameron directed, and it made a bit more sense. Today I just feel like I was had the whole time, and didn't enjoy the experience.

Any other movies give you the same impression? Others that come to mind are any movie that's been made from a Stephen King book, sans Stand By Me.

Their explaination for the lack of neccesary decompression, "They must have DONE SOMETHING to us" geez

I thought the ending of War of the Worlds, was pretty lame, though I expect it was keeping somewhat to the original story, which wasn't that great to start with. Why did the aliens bother to bury the attack vehicles, and wait thousands of years? With their superior firepower, why not just take what they wanted right then?

    Thank You!

I thought the end of I am Legend was extremely cheesy with the whole butterfly thing. Ruined it for me.

I also went into that movie not knowing there were "zombies" in it. Scared the hell out of me.

I really enjoyed The Green Mile and The Shawshank Redemption is one of my all-time favorite movies.

I enjoyed how they ended "The Mist", the ending in the book was good, but I don't think movie audiences would have liked it as much.
Just a stay at home dad (retired until I choose otherwise, thanks Canadian Army medical pension) hanging out and enjoying the good life.

I stand corrected. Sometimes I forget that King has written outside of the horror genre. Those are both excellent movies.

The movie ending to I am Legend sucked. It was completely changed from the book which had a real sweet twist.
