Default Resigning and staying in Virginia

Love this place sooooooo damn much, that I decided to resign from my current employer and stay here in Virginia! It was finalized last Wednesday and my last day will be May 16th. Of course I didn't resign out of the blue, I was offered a position in the area for a company that does "research" for the Gov't.

WAY MORE money, I get to stay in Virginia, and HUGE job growth. I'm so psyched. I can't wait to start working for them. Unfortunately, I have to pay back my old company for all the relocation expeses.

Keep an eye out for a cigar sale from me. I have to pay back $8,000 within 30 days of my last day. SUCKS, but this is all for the best.

    Government Research??

Growing Sociological instability due to the proliferation of Anti-Smoking "Nanny-State" laws

That's good news indeed, except for the cigar sale part, since my "Economic Stimulus" package should be here soon... you may end up with a good portion of it!

LOL! Thanks for the support guys. I'm really excited. I still have to go to WV for a week to train the people. Oh well, it's paid for in full. That'll just be my vacation for the year!

Haven't had time to compile the "sale" list, but it'll be a'comin!

Congrats on the new job!!! You should see if you can fight repaying the relocation expenses. Double check for language that says you have to stay with the company for a certain amount of time, etc... If they don't have that language then tell them to shove it.
