Default Does anyone else just think WTF

My wife and I were talking recently, and it is getting to the point where we won't watch to read the news anymore.

This story is f*** up on many different levels. These 14-17 year old kids are going to be the next generation of our country, it that doesn't scare you, I don't know what to say

Sure the story doesn't say anything bad about the guy who died, down on his luck, but I do believe he was just trying to get by in life.

How about the people in the cars that slowed down and watched without helping. About 3 years ago I was driving down the street when I see some kids chasing another kid, when they caught up to him, they proceded to beat the shit out of him. Another guy and I stopped and ran the kids off. We talked to the kid, and he said it was some "Right of Passage" $hit. Actually by the time I dropped him off at his house 4 blocks away, I wanted to beat the shit out of him, how can you be proud that you got the $hit beat out of you, and how f*** up are you to call these people your friends.

Anyway, this story doesn't really suprise me, just needed to vent

The world has moved on since I grew up, and I find it sickening

I was driving down the two lane road to the grocery store the other day, and I saw a group of three young girls, probably age 11 to 14, and one of them walked over to the woods bordering the sidewalk, grabbed a bigass branch, and drug it out into the street, and went on walking.. When I got there, I pulled over and yanked the branch off the road. when I drove past the girls they were shouting words that I'm they didn't learn at sunday school, and I think one even threw a rock at my truck.

There have been screwed up people for a long time now I think. We just hear about them more (New telecommunications infrastructure makes it all possible!). Society is less segregated and more congested as well. There's less buffer between good and bad people.

Remember back in the 90's when the two young British boys kidnapped, tormented, possibly sexually assaulted, and killed that cute three year old toddler (James Bulgar) by the railroad tracks for a thrill? Tell me that evil doesn't make your stomach twist into knots! Know what they got for it? A stint in Juvie, a free education, and new identities all paid for by the taxpayers. What a deterrent for future monsters, huh?

Before that, it gets plenty worse. All the way back to the wage slavery and horrid living/working conditions of the turn of the century. People dying constantly and being cheated/robbed often, was a fact of life.

There was a golden period in the 50's when things were better I think, but that was pretty short lived when you look at the rest of history.
