Just found out that my local gardening shop (really good people, went to High School with their daughter) grows fresh hops and sells brewing equipment. Im starting to think about taking the plunge. I hate to sound like a total newbie but can anyone recommend a good site with tutorials and info. I have googled it myself but I keep finding some different opinions and such so I would like to know a good starting point.

Also, I don't know the prices but if anyone is interested or in need of some good local hops (I cannot personally attest to their quality yet, but I know the people and I doubt that they would sell shit) I could do a little research on pricing and varieties if you would want some.

Northernbrewer.com is a good site and there are some good forums out there. That being said, I'd start with buying either The Complete Joy of Home Brewing and/or How to Brew . Both are good books. I own them both. If you were going to buy one, I would the first. Either are a good reference to have around. They should have one or both at your local shop. Plus if they grow hops, they either brew themselves or know a lot of brewers. There is probably a local brew club or at least a few people who would have no problem inviting you over to watch them brew a batch or help you brew your first. I'd start there.
