Thread: 5 Vegas Series A... YUCK!!!

Default 5 Vegas Series A... YUCK!!!

Actually one of my favorites, but...

Hair in my food is one of the things I HATE. Thankfully I noticed it before it made it to my mouth.

I know these are hand-rolled, so stuff like this will happen, but GROSS! I pulled the hair out - it's almost as long as the churchill cigar (atleast it's not short & curley!).

Nice find! Now you got me all self conscious about smoking without having looked at the tip

Which 5 Vegas Series A is that BTW?

Oh no, I just smoked one this weekend and didn't do the hair check!!
I thought it was a very good smoke.
Am I wrong to think that these are very close in flavor to my favorite, the Cohiba Black. It did change on the last half, but I may have been smoking to fast.

I'd agree that these are very similar to the Cohiba Black. I guess I've had more fun smoking the Cohibas though (usually smoked with good times/good company instead of out on the porch), so that may influence my thinking that the Cohiba is a better cigar. The 5 Vegas is definately cheaper!

JFellows is right on. Apostle is their churchill size.

I'd bet this isn't a common occurrence - usually they hide the hair a little further into the cigar...

Maybe Guado will chime in with the prize he found one time.

I found a bandaid!!!My Xikar had issues cutting the cap and I was astonished. Until I realized why...

I pulled out the bandaid, cut a little further down and smoked it! hahha

A little 'ole hair...come on now! These cigars are rolled on Virgin's thighs....it may have been one of those "virgin" unkept hairs down there.

Checking the wrapper for cracks is one thing and now I have to look for this.

A bandaid is a million times worse - had I found that you may have found a 'free cigars' post listing my humidor & everything in it.
