This smoke was gifted to me by a BOTL here, and I must give a super hardy THANK YOU.

Size: Toro
Wrapper: Ecuador (ligero)
Binder: Mexican
Filler: Mixed Ligeros from Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic

The packaging of this stick is very nice, cedar sheath printed with Gold Series, ribbon at the foot and a very large, detailed band. The first thing I noticed after stripping this baby was the beautiful coloration and sheen of the wrapper. Almost looked like a rosado.

The construction was excellent, no soft spots or ugly veins, well filled with a nicely cut foot and well applied cap. Cut and light were effortless.

The first third was very earthy, and most definitely lands on the full side of medium. Very complex flavor, ranging from coffee to earth to pepper and an intermingling of all together in a very nice fashion.

As I moved to middle of the stick, the flavors seemed to tame down a bit, and the smoke production really increased. A soft and subtle flavor that I couldn't quite put my finger on made an appearance and seemed to round out the smoke very nicely.

Towards the end the flavors moved away from the coffee/earth profile and more pepper/spice came into play. The strength picked up a notch for me as well, don't think it quite made it to full, but definitely on the full side of medium. Burn was straight and the ash was tight and well formed throughout this smoke, no touch-ups were required.

I nubbed this baby and would recommend this stick for someone looking for a nice med/full, complex and enjoyable smoke. This one is definitely a weekend treat when you have time to concentrate on the complexity of this stick. I will most definitely be picking up a 5er for further investigation as soon as the budget allows.

Thanks again, my brother, for a very nice experience.
