Hardly seems like a good selection... Macanudo 68 made it in, but Zino doesn't have a single showing, nor Opus...

IMO only 3 cigars nominated are worth purchasing:
** La Flor Dominicana Los Perfecto Sampler (OUTSTANDING)
    My Father by Don Pepin
    Ashton ESG 22 Year Salute

I will agree and say what a poor selection! That my 2 cents.

I agree, I wouldn't have put some of those in there, but nods to the LFD, the Don Peppin, and the Padrons. I am also interested in that Casa Magna. It's added to my Christmas list.

    To save folks the clicks:

CAO Champion Sampler Various sizes, various countries, $75.00
Don Carlos Edición de Aniversario Double Robusto 5 3/4 inches by 52 ring, Dominican Republic, $32.00
La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Miami Elegante 6 7/8 inches by 49 ring, Miami, $11.00
Macanudo 1968 Toro 6 inches by 54 ring, Dominican Republic, $9.50
Rocky Patel Decade Torpedo 6 1/2 inches by 52 ring, Honduras, $10.50
La Flor Dominicana Los Perfectos Sampler 5 3/4 inches by 54 ring, Dominican Republic, $54 (five cigars)
Alec Bradley Tempus Centuria 7 inches by 49 ring, Honduras, $8.25
Padrón 88 Sampler Various shapes, Nicaragua, $30 (five cigars)
Casa Magna Colorado Robusto 5 1/2 inches by 52 ring, Nicaragua, $5.25

I never heard of the Casa Magna before, but, from a vendor site, "Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plascencia have created this cigar to replace the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño 1970."

Tha Padrón sampler is a 2000/3000/4000/5000/1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo. This is the only one that I would consider - at the listed prices,

Just want to chime in and say that the Alec Bradley Tempus is a nice smooth full bodied smoke. However, I prefer the larger ring, like that on the Imperator (torpedo 6x52).

....don't forget that Don Carlos Edición de Aniversario!

They're on the high side price-wise, but I've heard great reviews on them.

I think its great CNBC is doing a section on cigars for holiday gifts. It definitely gives a positive impression as opposed to all the sections they dedicate to defiling smoking. Even though the selection of cigars isn't great I think its awesome that they got the ball rolling for these type of articles.

They had that casa magna in cigar affectionodo this month. Ive had a hard time tracking it down, unless I want to order it online which I will eventually do.
