    Default I've come to learn

Howdy guys I'm new here from Virginia, but have been into cigars for about three years now and still can't commit to a brand a box at a time. I enjoy most med-full maduro cigars and have smoked a lot just haven't found "the one" is it possible ill be buying a stick at a time forever? Anybody else here afraid to commit

One of the great things about cigars is that you do not have to commit to anything if you don't want to.. It's not like cigarrette smokers who pick a brand and stay with it. There are SO many cigars available that you can always explore and try new brands tastes and sizes... I have a dozen or so cigars I gyrate towards when I wanna smoke, and hundreds I have tried or cant wait to try or heard are good but havent had a chance to try yet

I buy sampler packs, and go from there. Enjoy the learning curve. I'm in Va also, I know of no cigar bars, maybe one will come about.

    Welcome from Ottawa, Canada!

You don't have to commit - a lot of cigar smokers like the variety and trying new sticks all the time. Most are like Roham above - a few favourites, but wanting to try others.

Myself, for med-full maduro - at a reasonable price - I smoke Padron's regular series. Too many inexpensive maduros are artificially made - even to the point of painting the wrapper - and I hate that.

edit: Oh yeah, there's a GREAT newbie sampler trade here. Try it, you won't regret it!

I guess if it was do or die I could buy a box of Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Maduro or Gurkha Ghengis Khan, bŁt I don't think you can buy it by the chest anymore?

Welcome from CO. I've found that there are a few cigars that are my "go to" cigars if I want a smoke I know that I'll enjoy. However, I think part of the fun is trying new cigars. Good luck with your search!

I think one of BEST things that you can get out of the forums is trades/PIFs/passes. I commited to more boxes than I should have and after coming to the forum I decided to mix up my variety by trading with fellow BOTLs who would probably enjoy your smokes just as much as the ones he passes to you. It's a beautiful thing

Nah the best thing you can get out of the board is the friendship and camraderie with people of like interests. It's the generosity these fellows will how you that you would never believe existed before. It's something a lot cooler than just cigars.

BTW welcome to the board visual.

    Agreed

You got me there prophetic. I've been on a few other (car) enthusiast forums but this one definitely goes the extra mile.

I'm afraid to commit to just about anything. While I'm still new to the cigar aficionado game, I have been trying to find a permanent fixture in my tastes. I feel your pain man.

What he said!! Besides, our auction system is hands-down better than flea-bay.
