After purchase I leave mine in the Humidor for a minimum of 2 weeks before smoking, or try to. I would definitely go at least a week in order to insure that your smokes are brought up to a level of humidity (or down to) that you enjoy. Most B&M's don't really keep their humi's properly regulate. Good enough but not perfect.

I leave them in there for at least a week. SOme smokes sit for as long as a year... I try to smoke them up if they're in there that long.

    Depends on the source..

Anything from the B&M or online vendor gets about two weeks. In the case of boxes form online, I'll usually burn one within the first three days, just to see how they are right off the truck, and give a base of comparison if they happen to last long enough to consider them "aging".

Anything I happen to get from a fellow BOTL is usually pretty much ready to go, since most are kept at optimal Rh already. Some that travel more than 2 days will get a few days to rest.

All my online purchases go into a 'quarantine' cooler for a minimum of 2 weeks before I put them into either my cooler or humi's.......this is more strictly enforced during the warmer months of the year.
