    Default Vegas Baby!

    Ya!
Well, I'm flying out for Vegas tomorrow morning, wife's 30th Birthday and her little sister is getting married so it's a double dip occasion. We're staying at the Signature MGM until Monday. Any cigar related places (other than Casa Fuente) I need to check out?
Also, we're definitely doing a show this time. It seems like every time down there we get sidetracked (read: too drunk) and never make it to one. Any recommendations on that?
    Thanks!

Have fun Bro! If you are going to check out a show, go see Cirque du Soleil "LOVE." It was awesome. "O" was really cool too. Stay away from "Ka." It was pretty boring; you can see the coolest part of it on the website.

"Believe" looks really cool, but I haven't seen it yet. I'm going to check it out next time I'm out there.

If you can get tickets I would reccomend Blue Man Group. Definately a fun show.

I am off to vegas on short notice. Going to Casa Fuente. Might check out the Paris. Anything else on anybodies list? Is there anything I should look for at fuente that isn't available elsewhere?

The last time I was there, I really enjoyed riding the rollercoaster at New York, New York. I also collected just as many solicitor's handouts in a giant garbage bag for this collage I ended up making. No better place in the world to people-watch. Check out the thrift shops off the strip for cool stuff.

A few PM's were sent to me about my trip to Casa Fuente. Figured I would answer them here for everyones use.

Give me the whole breakdown of Casa Fuente. Do they have all sorts of rare AF's? How was your smoke? Let me know how it was and hopefully you win some money down there.

Was the selection at Casa Fuente good? I'm really looking for some Opus X, wondered if you saw any there -- also would to hear how the Casa Fuente turned out and whether you picked up any Hemingway Maduros.

Its in the corner of the Forum shops at Caesar's on the middle floor. There is a little patio like area outside the shop where a smoking Latino girl will come to serve you drinks. You go inside and they have some merchandise on the right hand side. The entire left-hand side is the bar. AMAZING Mojitos. The back is the humidor. The middle is a few tables and a big pillar with glass cases of accesories around it. The humidor isn't as big as you would think it would be. They carry Ashtons, Diamond Crown, AF, and another brand like Sola or something like that. There is a little gated area in the corner of the humidor where they have TONS of OPUS X, Forbidden X, Casa Fuente, and some God of Fire, Don Carlos and Anejo. I am pretty sure that they sell everything in there by the box and singles. They had Maduro Hemingways and the Barber Pole Short Story (I think, one of the small Hemingways). I smoked the Casa Fuente Robusto and had a Mojito. Both were amazing. The ash on the Casa held on till almost the halfway point and was almost perfectly straight. Blew me away. I won't try to describe the flavor (I'm a newb) as anything other than the best Cameroon I have ever had. I bought a good number of Robustos and Double Robustos. I bought a few maduro Hemingways and a few King B's. Last but not least I bought several Xtra Viejo's.

As far a prices go, the rare stuff was probably priced better than a B&M because it appeared everything was simply priced at MSRP. I couldn't believe how much a Forbidden X cost. I am pretty sure they started at about $60 and only went up from there.

Please let me know if you have any questions. If you are going, be sure to win lots of money before you go, you are sure to buy lots of sticks.

The Opus and Anejo pricing at Casa Fuente is significantly higher than MSRP.

I guess I should phrase it as "lower than the prices I have seen at several shops in 4 different states in the last week." Where can I find this years MSRP?

Has anyone here spent $100 or more on a cigar? If so, was it truly phenomenal?
I'll be in Vegas next weekend -- and I'm trying to decide if I blow some cash in the casino or at Casa Fuente. I was planning on picking up some Opus and Anejos -- not sure if I could bring myslef to smoke a Forbidden...
