    Default Movin' on up!

Hey guys. As of 5pm tonight my wife and I are officially in contract to buy our first home!! We are both really excited to get out of this basement. Our closing date was set for March 15th. That's the same day as my birthday. How's that for a good sign!

Also, I started working in my father in-law's pizzeria, training to be an owner one day. But still learning the basics as of Monday this week. After putting out over 500 resumes, going on only 4 interviews and only picking up 1 freelance project(for a very low wage), I've decided that no one is going to hire me right now as a graphic designer. With the economy the way it is, the decision to start this path was my best option. And my father in-law seems happy to have another family member in the business.

P.S. look for a home closing contest in the near future after I sort out the rules.

I'm sure this new house has an indoor smoking lounge & walk-in humidor, correct?

    Congrats!

I don't smoke in my house due to my wife's asthma, but the house has a 2 1/2 car garage with an unfinished loft up top. It might become something in the future...

However she did give me the green light to buy a nice cabinet humi. After she gets her kitchen, of course.

Congrats on the house and job! Yum.

I worked a couple years in a pizza place when I was in school. Ya just can't beat the comfort of being in a family-run business. Long hours, but you get good food, and you can sleep in!

Congrats. Now that you got that contract business out of the way you should come to the Herf and celebrate

    Rich,

Congratulations on the house! Finally pulled the trigger.

May have to hit you up whenever I'm in the area.

Hope you can make it to the next Herf here in NoVA.
