Paypal isn't a problem. When business volume increases enough, he will open a "real" credit card merchant account. However, they're quite expensive. Paypal merchant does charge you about the cost of a latte per month, so it is ideal for small businesses. You did the right thing to ask about a vendor. In this case, I'd stake my reputation on him.
