Thread: Celebratory Cigar

    Default Celebratory Cigar

    So...

May 5th is the grand opening of my new store.

To celebrate, my District Manager is taking me out for a steak, and I want a somewhat decadent cigar to smoke afterwards.

So... I'm going to try an Opus X.

Medium to Full Bodied cigars still get me a little lightheaded due to nicotine overload...

I've narrowed it down to one of three to try out. Any hints on which one I should go with?

Opus X Petit Lancero (never tried a lancero yet, interested to try the effect it has with the smaller ring on the flavor being more influenced by the wrapper)
Opus X Double Corona 7.63 length, ring size 49
Opus X Reserva De Cheteau 7 length, ring size 48

I'll probably buy two of the three. Any hints on which of them I should go with?

Unless its directed towards a freakin' smoker.

I always hot box the Lancero, smoke that size way too fast so it's not a size I ever recommend. In fact if you are celebrating I don't know if any of those are a good choice, not because they are bad cigars but because you yourself have never smoked one. I always pick a cigar I know for a fact I enjoy when I am celebrating. It would really suck to have a cigar you just didn't care for on an occasion that is supposed to be special and memorable for you. I would purchase those cigars definitely but to smoke have one you already know you love.
