    Default couldn't help but notice......

I've seen members change avatars. I've been on here a little over a year, and have changed mine several times.

But to switch from a Red Wings fan to a Capitals fan? Without warning? Without notice? Is that considered a sacrilege within the hockey world? Did I miss something? This isn't about facial hair, is it?

I switched to the Detroit avvy before the playoffs began last season. The Red Wings won last year. I switched to the Capitals just recently.

    I only pick winners.

You can't beat a hot goaltender, and Henrik is hot.

    Hopefully Boston can solve him.

I hope the Caps beat the Rangers.
Ovechkin's goal last night was insane, best of the year.

So, what I'm going to do is set up a hotline. You guys can call in and hear my sports picks for 4.99 a minute. I figure it's the least I can do for you guys.

I'd still go with your last year's pick - or Boston.

Ovechkin is fun to watch, though. Reminds me of Kharlamov.

A Pitt-Wash series would have awesome highlights ...

Do they still do Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday nights? I remember seeing it the last time I was in Ontario and had television reception (been a few years).

Ovechkin got a hat trick *and* Sid the kid got a hat trick tonight. Pitt-Wash is shaping up to be an awesome series - all of them are, I think.

Yup. There will always be HNIC. It is on the web at cbcsports.ca - I don't think you can get the live streaming, but the segments are be available after the games (Don Cherry being the most popular). Most of the playoff games are being carried by CBC - but some games are on TSN (broadcast-only).

Mind you, CBC does a second live stream of games, and that may be available internationally - this year it is in Punjabi (fourth-most common language in Canada).

For all games, you can pick up an audio (radio) feed from a playing team's website.

I lived in Ontario just across from the border from Detroit for 20+ years, and I'll go on record that the only bunch of "Wagon-Jumpers" worse than Deeeeeee-Troit are Habs fans.

Now there's a cruel bunch, and the media in Montreal are as bad or worse.

Now, to really give people a laugh or 3, I should change my avtar to the "Leaf"
