    just curious: is there any difference between humidors made with these 2 woods?

    Either would be lined with cedar anyway. Your pref on appearance. I like burlwood.

    Unless you're paying big bucks, both humidors are probably made of MDF, with the exterior painted to look like wood.

    I can assure you these are NOT solid wood. I make mine of SOLID wood [www.arlinliss.com]

    If it was, when the humidor was opened up the same wood on the exterior surface would be seen as the edge of the interior wall.
