    Default New Cigar Recomendation

    Hello,
    This is my first post...I've been reading for a while...Great Forum!

    I'm leaving for he caribbean Saturday Morning...I have been smoking mainly what i know i like....For fear of wasting the oppurtunity of smoking a fine cigar.I usually smoke Montecristo #2 & #4.I want to try something else but im always leary of the "just wing it" idea...What would you recommend i try.I have tried a few differant Cohiba's (#2,Siglo Corona)and Partagas(#1 & Piramide).Any suggestions you may have would be great.

    I know that im safe with the montecristo's so im gonna try a few differant brands.I have a very relible source to send them to me at home so i want to try a few differant cigars so i know what to buy before i leave....Some shops are just overwhealming...Im like a kid in a candy store.

    Another popular Cuban brand is Bolivar. They are pretty sure fire. Or Hoyo De Monterrey. I just had a El Rey Del Mundo for my first time a couple nights ago. Excellent smoke I hope that helps you a little bit and welcome to the board!!!!

    Don't buy ANY "Cuban" cigars in the Caribbean, they are 99.99% guaranteed to be fake.

    What guarantees this? Being less than 100 miles from Cuba? While no expert on fine Havanas, I have to say the Romeo's I bought there were noticably different (i.e. better) than the Dominican ones I get here in the states. I didn't buy from the first place I saw either... I shopped around first.

    Thank You all for your replies.I am definitly going to try a few Bolivar &Hoyo De Monterrey.I have also heard good thing about them.

    As for buying fake cubans...I am not at all worried.I will be buying from a very fine establishment.

    I have purchased many of my Montecristo's from Rene Van Nie....He actually visits cuba once a month for his stock...They are definitly legit.

    Thanks again for the welcome.I will report back with a few reviews.

    You cant go wrong with a Romyo Y Julieta, Cuban made cigar. Most of them are a good solid smoke.
