No more freakin' Avery! Woo hoo!

Still think it'll be Boston vs. Detroit, though.

I was hoping for a Green v Avery bout once the game was decided. Oh well.

Green's been well-behaved this series. Why risk injury or suspension over a piece of slimy smegma anyway?

Big question now is the Cap's goaltending. The Rangers are not an offensive force; Boston is an entirely different matter.

It was nice to see Avery limp off the ice like a wounded duck. Good game.

Varlamov has been really good in the Caps net. He'll be starting for the rest of they playoffs. Caps vs Blackhawks should be an interesting final.

I'm pretty stoked about the 'Canes making it to the second round of the playoffs. I didn't think they'd make it past the Devils. Brodeur is SICK!!! The Boston series is gonna be just as great, can't wait!

He has, but the Rangers did not exactly have an awesome offense. One gets the feeling it would have been a four or five game series if Lundquist <sp?> wasn't so awesome.

I do want the Caps to do well - Ovechkin is one of those once in a generation talents, and the more everyone sees him, the better.

However, I'll be surprised if the Caps win this round, and shocked if they win the next.

I'm rooting for Sid the kid, but realize that Boston is a superior team.

The Blackhawks are young, and Vancouver, like the Rangers, are a goaltender with a supporting cast. The only team left in the west that can beat Detroit is Anaheim.

(and I won't bet fivers because I have lost every bet I've ever made in the playoffs Then again, I did see (on B&W TV) the Make-me-laughs win the Stanley Cup ...)

I didnt see that coming. Good for Pens. If we even make it by Carolina I didnt want to play the Caps.

I feel the exact same way about Carolina, Bassfever. I'd rather play the Pens if we even make it past the Bruins. You guys took it to us the last two games. Tim Thomas is playing like a possessed man right now. Tonight should be a great game. I'll be sure to tune in to Chuck Kaiton on the radio at work.

Interesting to see you guys would rather play the Pens. I thought the Caps had us but watching last nights game the Pens showed amazing determination not to mention they appeared very fresh and fast. Explosive guys. You sure you want a piece of them?

Is a cheap shot giving pussy. He plays well but he needs to get some team support. The Penguins have a well rounded team on which anyone can score. Caps rely on Ovie.

I will agree with your second and third point. But, everyone in the NHL gives cheap shots. Some players just hide it better than others and know when they can get away with it.

He needs to learn to pass the puck. I laughed every time he tried to go one on two or one on three and lost the puck.

Definitely glad to see the Pens win.

Forget about the Canes and the Pens for a second. The Chicago Blackhawks are in the finals!!! I almost want them to beat Detroit more than I want Carolina to beat Pittsburgh. ALMOST, being the operative word. Let's face it, Detroit is the USC of the NHL. You are so tired of watching those guys win that you just want them to lose, even if the team they're playing against is another team you really don't care for. Not to mention, IF we get passed the Pens I think I would much rather play Chicago than Detroit.
