Default Arturo Fuente Hemmingway ~ Between the Lines

    No Other's Review found

This is a tandem review with my wife

Smoke(s) Arturo Fuente Hemmingway ~ Between the Lines
Drink(s): Yuengling Porter (me); Water (wife)
    Tunes: None

Wrapper: Maduro / Connecticut barber pole stylee!
Draw: Light to Medium (me) / Medium (wife)
Burn: V. good. goes sideways and back to straight for both
Misc: 60 minute. Nose exhale exhibits medium burn.

Pre-light (me): Beautiful barber pole; Sweet tobacco scent; prelight taste: slight sweetness
Pre-light (wife): Funny shape; Nice velvety texture; Prelight taste: sweet

Light (me): Easy to light the little nipple. Light draw, light sweet flavor.
Light (wife): Medium draw. A bit burny on the lightup. Pleasantly stung the palate.

1st 3rd (me): Sweet, oily. Medium to full nose exhale burn. Slight pepper. Bit salty on the exhale finish. Very, very smooth.
1st 3rd (wife): Sweet, grassy hay flavor. Slightly creamy. Spicy effect on tongue (aftertaste). I feel like I'm sitting on a spanish veranda. Very smooth

Ash (me): Light gray. Slightly uneven. Yellow twinge. Pretty strong, held on for almost 2"
Ash (wife): I have an ash crack (see cigar on right in pic)

2nd 3rd (me): Very smooth. Salty flavor, but still has sweet taste. Very good sofar. Slight oily hint. Light to medium body. Just dropped my whole ash on this note pad
2nd 3rd (wife): Enjoying residual smoke scent. Creamy, spice flavor more pronounced. Stronger flavor.

3rd 3rd (me): Oily more pronounced. Sweetness tapering off. Salty still there. Still smooth. Getting bummed this is near the end
3rd 3rd (wife): Flavor has evolved to spicey, but still pleasant. I fell very relaxed, but it could also be 'cause I'm tired. I'll be sad to see this one end.

Overall impression (me): Very Good, very expensive is its only downside. Score: 90's
Overall impression (wife): I wish this would replicate itself until I was finished with it. Score: 90's

Great review. Good pics. I've been wanting to try one of those to compare to the Short Story.

I like the spousal unit's descriptiveness! Sounds pretty much how my wife would describe smoking cigars. I've asked my wife her impressions, and she typically responds "good". When asked to elaborate she usually says "very good" or "okay". When pressed I hear - "It tastes like cigar smoke!" When pressed even further I usually get "STFU or I'll put this thing out in your eye!!!"

...and the Ash Crack is just classic!!!

    Thanks for sharing.

Another good review. I like the tandem concept, too.
