Destructive Device for me. I have a 12 gauge breeching shotgun with a 12 inch barrel & hope to purchase a 20mm rifle soon. At the SO, I had a various times:

M3A1 (our departments first automatic weapons in recent memory purchased in 1988 for around $75.00 each)
Thompson 1928 (Displayed on the Sheriff's wall 90% of the time)
    M11 (Confiscated)
    Breaching shotguns
    Beretta M12

BTW, the Beretta was the only that ran properly.

Eh, I had my fun firing all that shit in the military. The only full auto weapons that were accurate past the first round were the M60 and M249 SAW on a bipod or tripod. Speaking of accuracy. The M16 fires 5.56mm, which is the equivalent of .223 cal. It is very precise with a very flat trajectory.

On a side note, grenade launchers and rocket launchers are fun! I never did get a chance to fire the Mk-19 grenade launcher though. Fully auto 40mm grenades! Just think about it!

I think he was saying "thank you" for a great post. If not, I'm saying that now.

So the new 99C works wonderfully.

I bagged an elk on the last morning before leaving with a nice, easy 300 yard double lung shot.

My wife is VERY happy, she loves elk! Personally, I like elk and moose the same.

This years total between the 4 of us:
    - a very nice 4x5 white tail buck
    - white tail doe
    - mule deer doe
    - calf moose
    - cow elk
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.

I'm really not much of a AR 15 "M16" fan after a few years of dragging one around in the army but for some strange reason today i decided to build one.

Picked up a C3 defense lower and complete parts kit now im shopping for uppers and a few other parts.

Completed the lower build this morning with Magpul parts and DPMS stock.
The build went nice and smooth.
I do recommend a better stock the DPMS had a lot of play in it so it will need some modifications "but i do like the look of it".

I still need a AR wrench to tighten the locking ring on the stock, but other than that its ready for a upper and optics to finish it.

So far i have $226 in the lower build.

I'm not set on getting a complete upper i may build it the way i want.
