hello all

im new here & also new to cigar smoking too.. i guess ive been smoking cigars for the last 3 years or so. i was one of a lucky few to be given a huge cohiba at a friends wedding recetion a few years back.. after the meal a few of us sat outside the hotel and sparked those babies up. it took us the best part of 2 and a half to 3 hours to smoke those stogies man.. we went thru some nice wines and some brandy too. since then any trip abroad especially to andorra ive tried to bring back some cigars.. ive bought some in england too but not too often.

since the wedding cohiba (which i think was an esplendido) ive smoked more of the cohiba brand than anything else.. i guess i liked where i started off so havent really waned far from there. ive bought siglo I & siglo VI, esplendidos, even bought some minis in ibiza last year.. also some romeo y julieta churchill tubo & montecristo especial no 2... that completes all the cigar types i have ever smoked! a pityful depth of experience i know but a most enjoyable one!!

id like to speak to some of you and take some tips or advice on cigars to try out.. ive been looking on the net at cuban sampler sets of varying price.. im guessing this is my best route to getting some different tastes and strengths under my belt.

ive recently bought myself a small humidor, i guess about a 30-40 stick size.. currently it holds 7 esplendidos bought in cuba in 2001.. im not sure when exactly they were made or whether theyre at their best or not but to me they taste and smoke great. can anyone spread some light on those for me?

i lost a dear friend recently, we enjoyed many a cigar together so i guess they hold more than the relaxing qualities for me. a spare few hours & a comfortable chair, with or without company.. its just a great thing to do.

its taken a while for my account to be accepted here and ive roamed around the different sections of the forum looking at the endless pictures of truely awesome and some even unbelievable humidor set-ups you guys have.. i can only wish that one day ill own a bigger humidor that holds an array of smokes even close to some of those..

anyways.. all good

pleasure to be in your fellow smoking company

cheers all
tony
