Thread: The Best

  1. Talking The Best

I have just experienced heaven on earth. I smoked a Romeo Y Julieta 1875 yesterday, and a Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 today ( I got them both for Father's Day ). I can officially state that these are the best cigars I have ever smoked in my life!!

I just had my first Torano Exodus 1959 last week. I opened up a box of torpedo's for my trip to the beach. It's my new favorite domestic.

I love the Torano 1959 but the RyJ is not my cup of tea.

Glad you had such a good time. The RyJ is a good smoke. I have heard people say that it's a very mild smoke after you work your way up to the heavy-hitting maduros, but it does have a lot of flavor and is a very pleasant smoke. The Exodus '59 is just superb. I'm with Puro Brat about it, I like them a lot better than the silvers. The Exodus '59 is a "richer" tasting cigar and has more "umph" to it IMHO. CI has a box going for about $89.00 if I'm not mistaken. It's slightly more than I'd like to pay per month for cigars, but that's what splits are for.

    Oh, btw-happy father's day-there isn't a more important holiday than that one.

The DIFFERENCE can be found on any of the websites of the major internet retailers when you look up the product description.

Here's what famous-smoke says about the Exodus 1959 (Gold):
Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 cigars offer a medium-bodied, full flavored smoke commemorating the Exodus of the leading Cuban cigar families from their native Cuba. (The Toranos were one of those families.) Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 cigars are Cuban-pressed (semi-round) in chocolate colored Habano wrappers with Dominican, Honduran, Mexican, Nicaraguan & Costa Rican tobaccos. Sought for their creamy, rich flavor, long finish and captivating, roasted coffee and cocoa aroma, put these at the top of your favorites list!
and here's what they say about the "Silver":
Carlos Torano Exodus Silv cigars are medium to full bodied cigars made with a more complex blend than the gold banded 1959 Edition. These luxurious cigars are draped in gorgeous Criollo wrappers married to a rich combination of Honduran, Mexican and Costa Rican filler tobaccos. The result is a very spicy, yet marvelously smooth smoke with traces of dark caramel, citrus and cedar that captures the essence of the best 'pre-embargo' Cuban cigars. A very rewarding evening smoke, indeed.
I don't like the Silver line at all but the regular Exodus 1959s are one of my favorite domestics.
