Default Great Event with Rocky Patel

Saturday my local shop hosted a great event featuring the works of Rocky Patel.

Free cigars, free food and free drinks was merely the icing on the cake. They had great prices and freebies for all those that made a purchase.

I met and spoke at length with Rocky Patel and I must say he is a great guy (and fellow attorney) in fact he was the first person to greet me when I arrived. I bought a box of Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Petite Belicoso Maduro. (Unfortunately I did not have much money or I would have bought a box of the 1990's as these are superb.)

The freebies I mentioned included 6 free RP Sungrown Toros and a RP Signature pistol lighter. My calculation puts that at freebies of around $80 to $100.

The whole package of 25 Super Fuerte cigars, lighter and 6 Sungrown cost me only $100!

Oh and did I mention that Rocky Patel signed the box of cigars for me!

    EDIT . . . 25 in a box

I overheard a conversation one of the Reps was having and I thought (don't quote me) they were talking about the fact that he was on some sort of "Tour". Maybe he will make it near you. Check out his webpage or check with your local tobacconist.

The event at my shop was a HUGE success with people dropping $100 to $1000+ like nothing on all kinds of stuff . . . IT, 100ct Chests of Edge, Vintage etc.

Congratulations Jason!. Man, I'm stoked that you got to meet old Rocky himself. How do you like the fuerte maduro? You letting it rest or have you torched that one up? The guy is undoubtedly one of the best in the business. I prefer the naturals myself, but it must have been awesome to talk to the main man himself. Congrats on a great event.

Jason you are a lucky dog indeed...
I've been wanting to meet RP since reading an article on the empire he is building. From a purely business standpoint I would love to talk with him for a short while. I can imagine it could only be inspiring to someone my age. On topic though... I love the vintage series and would have flipped if he had autographed a box of his cigars for me. Grrrr... no smiley for envy so I'll use the only green one we got

I do have an event at my local shop Thursday night... not RP, but a Zino Rep will be there. Never tried a Zino or Davidoff, so should be a nice opportunity to try some new smokes for free...

Folks, just went to the local Tobacco Depot in Tampa (North Dale Mabry Highway and Fletcher) and seems like they are having an event with RP himself. I wonder if there will be some great deals there too.. I'm looking forward to going. Also going to sample some new scotch.
