Hygrometer
I've been using this Thermo/Hygro in the walk-in humidor for about 3 weeks now. Since the humidor was new and I was totally unfamiliar with the Honeywell humidifier, I thought I was in for some serious humidity adjustment issues. It all went painlessly easy mostly due to this little hygrometer. It is very responsive and resets every few seconds. Accurate to +/-2% one need not second guess the RH. Also, it is small enough to fit in smaller hunidors too. At around $40-$50 or equal to 4 good cigars, why not be safe.
I have added a very small fan that blows across the humidistat. This helps avoid stagnant air pockets and allows the humidistat to rapidly adjust to RH changes. I have lowered the RH differential to 64% low and 66% high (only 2% variation). I never dreamed of having this much control.
