Default Drew Estate ~ Egg Maduro

    No Other's reviews found

    Smoke: Drew Estate Egg Maduro
Drink(s): Homemade Yuengling Black & Tans
    Tunes: Offspring, Green Day, Nirvana

    Wrapper: Maduro
    Binder: Nicaraguan?
    Filler: Nicaraguan?
    Draw: Light
Burn: Problematic throughout. Requires a lot of touch ups
    Misc: 120 minutes.

Pre-light: Well, obviously I’m going to comment on its shape (Bloated figurado) Dark brown wrapper. Looks like its constructed well, and its very firm. Sweet smell, and a touch of a musty smell. No prelight taste (thankfully, no flavoring)

Light: Light draw. Easy light. Have to compensate for weight holding it in mouth.

1st 3rd: Got to triple puff this to get a good draw of smoke. Woodsy & peppery. Weird aftertaste, not bad, but like a leathery / vaguely acrid aftertaste. Actually is a light to medium body cigar.

Ash: Crisp white (prolly will end up looking like a wasp nest with its texture) Can’t even measure the ash, broke off quickly.

2nd 3rd: Smoldering smokey log. Very different. Smooth body, and the pepper is gone. I can feel the cherry from this thing a good 8” away. Woodsy & sweet leather taste. Further on, my tongue is getting fuzzy from puffing on this thing to manage the shape & the tunneling its doing. Lots of maintenance with this.

    Action shot!!!!

3rd 3rd: Getting harsh now. Again, lots of touch ups that is distracting from anything else. Flavor is mostly gone, and now its just a mofo to work with. I feel that a lot of what’s going on here is managing the weird shape. Distracting from the flavor experience.

Overall impression: Novelty cigar. It was fun to work my way through, but as far as actually doing the review of flavors / body etc. it was not a good smoke. Nevertheless, thanks Nate for allowing me the experience of this ??? cigar.

    Holy ashtray decimation, Batman!!!

Well, now. I've never seen a cigar quite like that one. Good review.

Interesting. But it sure looks like a damn messy adventure!

I've had a natural egg in the cooler for 3 to 4 years, can't get up the energy to try it.

You really did smoke it. Most people that buy those just have them because they kind of look like the AF football.
