Thread: Another Newbie!

  1. Default Another Newbie!

    Hello everyone!

It seems there are so many newbie posts, I wanted to wait until there was a lull or something, been browsing the forums for around a week now, decided now was the right time to introduce myself.

I am 18 y/o and will be attending the University of Washington this fall. I've lived in Seattle all my life. My Dad always smoked cigars on special occasions which sparked my interest, and I'v shared some cigars with friends for birthdays and what-not. I only recently discovered the whole world of cigars and I honestly can't get enough info.

The only memorable cigars I have smoked were a few little cubans from my Dad, a Romeo y Julieta churchill and a punch.

I ordered a 50-75 cigar humidor, beads and a mild 15 cigar sampler to get myself started. Once the Humidor is ready and I have the funds I'll try out the Newbie Sampler Thread, which seems like an amazing opportunity for some good smokes.

That’s for building such a great community, I'll see you around and hope to learn a thing or two.

    P.S. I actually enjoy backwoods...is that bad?

    Greetings from Sacramento, CA!

I am also 18 years old, and a newbie. Great to know there's someone my age who also fancies a nice cigar, and is also fascinated by the cigar world.

Best wishes at the University of Washington! I also start college in the fall, and I'm pretty excited too.

Here's a great place to be.

I wish I had found cigars at your age. I think college wouldn't have been as stressful at times. Good luck with your studies and welcome aboard!

Welcome from CT, I found that during college events such as formals etc., were always enhanced with a decent smoke (I use decent in a way that means what ever you can afford as a broke college student)!

    Welcome from South Carolina!

Don't worry... Backwoods hold some fond memories for me, and I'll still pick up a pouch every so often for a fishing trip.

Engineering! I have my eyes set on mechanical engineering, but I might change engineering types within the next two years, whatever feels right you know?

I have a degree in Electrical Engineering. It's a shame that I don't use it, though. I've been out of college roughly 4 years and I forget most of what I learned. Can't go wrong with engineering. It was challenging but still fun! Good luck.
