Hello everyone,
I found this site a few days ago and decided (after reading some of the posts) that this could be an interesting and informative group.
Obviously I love cigars or I wouldn't be here.
I have been smoking cigars on a regular basis for about 2 years now. My first smoke was a Rocky Patel Edge Torpedo Maduro. That cigar started the ball rolling hard.
I absolutely loved it and still do. It was given to me at a poker game one night. Although now I prefer the Toro size. I keep some in my humidor at all times.
I have two humidors now.
One similar to this:

Another is a Thompson similar to this without the glass:

I have 2 grown children and 2 grand kids.
I live in Austin, TX. (the heat is unbearable btw)
Even though I have lived in the south all my life I have always despised the weather so I plan on moving one day to a better climate.
I am not a sophisticated enough smoker to recognize all the tones and flavors enough to explain them well so if I try and do a review it will more than likely not be detailed.
I only know what I like and dislike. In general I prefer a medium to full bodied smoke. I lean towards maduros most of the time, however, as of lately I am branching out and trying a lot of smokes I never tried before.
See the latest additions to my humidor here on my first post: http://cigarsmokers.com/showpost.php...postcount=1409
I tried my first Ashton San Cristobal Guajiro this morning
with my coffee and it was absolutely wonderful. I tasted a
hint of "saltiness". It was very creamy and smooth with too many flavors to describe(for me anyways).
I am now smoking a CAO Heroes and Legacies Exclusivo box pressed maduro. Heroes and Legacies is my favorite Smoke Shop here in Austin and CAO makes these for them. The manager suggested this one to me since I like the Edge Maduro so much.
I see a lot of very experienced smokers posts here and am very glad to have found you all.
Have a great day. See you all soon.
