    Default Carlos Torano Robusto

The other day I bought my first "real" cigar. I did a bit of searching around on here...looking around at moderately priced cigars, being new to all of this I figured Toranos would be a good place to start - pricewise.

Then I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I'm stuck staring at this thing now! It's killing me! Haha.
Anyone have any ideas of about how long it is until you can smoke after a surgery like this?

Thanks, hoepfully I can dive into this thing soon. I hate just being able to stare at it, and smell it without being able to smoke it lol.

Personally I'd wait till the open wounds in your mouth heal...

    Funny you mention Carlos Torano....
Local smoke shop here is having a Carlos Torano event tonight.
I am debating on whether or not to attend.
    I have never had one.

    Get better soon.

You do NOT want to risk smoking that thing to early. I would wait like 4 weeks. The dry socket you could get if you smoke it too early is just about the worst thing ever. My friend's mom who is a doctor says she can tell if someone has dry socket just by walking into the waiting room (it smells that bad).

Wait. For a couple of reasons.

For one, this will be your first "real" cigar. I don't know what you've been smoking, but the chance exists that this could put you on your ass. Who knows?

Secondly, the risk of infection is great. Your oral surgeon should have given you a small water syringe to wash out the gaping hole where your wisdom teeth used to be, and to help keep that area clean.

I had one of my wisdom teeth pulled years ago when I used to smoke cigarettes. Had it pulled around 3, lit up around 10. But that cigarette only lasted 3 minutes. A cigar could last over an hour. You also risk exposing 4 parts of your mouth, instead of one.

Not to mention, your pain probably hasn't even started yet. I didn't really feel pain until the third day after getting it pulled.

    ....and welcome from northwest Louisiana.

Yeah guys I'm most definitely waiting.
I just wasn't sure (in weeks) how long to wait. I figured I was going to wait around 4 weeks so I guess I was close. :)
Thanks for the concern though..nice to have the consideration.

Northwest Louisiana? Wouldn't mean around Shreveport would you?

Thanks again for all the good notes.
