    Default Gurkha Legend

    John51277’s review

    Smoke: Gurkha Legend
    Drink(s): Assortment of beer
    Tunes: none

    Wrapper: Connecticut broadleaf
    Binder: Cameroon
    Filler: Dominican
    Draw: Light to Medium
    Burn: Good
    Misc: 90+ minutes.

Pre-light: Box press shape. Musty leather smell. Not much prelight taste, maybe a little pepper.

Light: Simple. When with matches this time on a whim. Light to medium draw.

1st 3rd: Leather. Some spice & pepper. Has a bit of a bitter twang to it, but in a good way. Getting some nutty flavors now, & toast. Burn is kinda lopsided. We’ll see if it straightens out.

Ash: Crisp white. Little yellow twinge as you look out to the end. Holds on for ¾”

2nd 3rd: Leather still there. Pepper is gone. Nutty / toast flavor dominant now. I’d say medium body & medium flavor. Following a strange burn channel down one side. Only distracting in the sense I’m watching it. Nice flavor profile to me.

3rd 3rd: Same flavors, but getting into a harsh zone now. Oily now too. Leather is stronger again.

Overall impression: A fiver may be in order here. Thanks again Smoked!

Nice review will. Looks like a fairly narrow ring guage cigar. Sounds like one to try for sure. Roger.

Glad this one worked for you. Nice work. Thanks for putting in the time to add good reviews to the board.

Roger - The size of the one in my hand runs around 50x6... for the moment. It likely will experience some shrinkage shortly. These have been in the deep storage for about 18 months. You may find it difficult to locate the box-pressed shape. I think the torpedo shape is equally good.

Thanks for the review Will. As usual, I look at your ashtray and am a little sad that I can't get Yuengling here.

I have made it a rule never to smoke more that one cigar at a time.
