Thread: Allow me to introduce myself...

Default Allow me to introduce myself...

    Hello all!

I've already posted a question about a humidor, and was gently reminded that I should make an introduction, so here it goes...

I'm a division manager of a new construction company in Wichita, KS. We do mechanical insulation in commercial and industrial settings.

I've been smoking cigars for about 3 years; my friends were all smoking them, and I decided to give it a try.

I really like maduros, and it seems I've developed a fondness for Nicaraguan sticks. I mainly smoke Olivas, Nubs, and my personal favorite is the Habanos Puros Fuerte robusto.

I play alot of golf, ride motorcycles (current bike is a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R600), and wrench around on my truck (2005 Ford F-350). I'm also a member of gixxer.com and superdutydiesel.com.

I love learning about new things, so I'll probably ask alot of questions. I also love sharing what I've learned with people who ask questions.

I look forward to being able to do both here!

It means brick and mortar, or in other words a real cigar shop as opposed to an online vendor. I'm curious which one you shop in here.

I normally shop at Cigar Chateau over at Rock and 29th. I'm originally from Kansas City, so I buy most of my boxes at Cigar & Tabac in Overland Park. They always seem to have boxes in stock of what I want, and I'm back in KC once a month or so.

I just moved to the west side of Wichita, and I've only been to Cigar Chateau over here once. It sucks. Even the guy at the east side store said it (he actually was the one who brought it up). Any suggestions on good west side stores?

Cigars etc on Central, between 235 and West ST. has pretty decent pricing, somewhat of a knowledgeable tobacconist (Lisa), and are honest people. I shop there and at the Chateau. I avoid ABC cigars like the plague. If we share a smoke sometime, I'll tell you a story about ABC.

    Welcome!

If you're ever back in KC - stop by Outlaw Cigar Co. Nice bunch of folks there!
