    Smoke: Ashton VSG ~ Wizard
    Drink(s): Dogfishead 60min IPA
    Tunes: nothing

    Wrapper: Ecuador
    Binder: Dominican
    Filler: Dominican
    Draw: Medium-Light
    Burn: Excellent
    Misc: 90 minutes (at least)

Pre-light: Beautiful Chocolate brown wrapper. Stout & velvety. Very nice construction. Sweet tobacco scent. Just a slight pre light tobacco flavor.

Light: Took a little going over…Medium to light draw.

1st 3rd: Leather, oil, hints of cocoa. Very smooth, very creamy. I say medium body & full flavor.

Ash: Flakey, but layered well. Pretty light grey with yellowed tip. Holds on for 1 ¾”

2nd 3rd: Creamy, even more smooth. Same flavors as described above. Leather & oil less now. More cocoa. So nice.

3rd 3rd: Speechless. Flavors all there a little orange peel mixed in now. Throughout there has been a soft pepper taste going on.

Overall impression: Stellar smoke. Definitely a benchmark. The only detracting note I’d make is I like the torpedo just a little bit more. I piped this one for sure.

    Mmm...

I don't know what's more attractive-the super good looking pictures, or your very descriptive adjectives.

Thanks for the review. Now I know about that beauty.

    Great review.

FWIW, this is one of the sticks that in my opinion, is better that the vast majority of Cuban cigars I've had (and I've had more than my share ................. 'cause I can go there).

Great cigar. Picked up a few of the VSGs (as well as some others) for my bachelor party before my wedding. I haven't had this particular vitola, however.

I thought I remember it being a spicy cigar. Maybe not.

Will, for some reason I can't see your Man O' War post review.

That's a strong statement....I might have to agree with you. I've never had a VSG that was not spot on.

Nice review. You have the quality and size of your pics down to an art. I enjoy all of your reviews.
I have two Wizards and two Spellbounds resting in the humi. Neither size have I tried before.
I am looking forward to trying both.
I have tried the Torpedo and the Sorcerer and both were simply wonderful. I prefer the Torpedo over the Sorcerer.
Speaking of the Ashton sun grown line... I have an ESG 20 Year Salute in the humidor. This will be my first ESG.
The Ashton rep gave it to me at the event. I waited until the end to pick out my smokes and I think he had
    too much to drink.

That's one fat bastid! Good review of an excellent blend.

If this one get a thumbs up from Newfie and sarge, you know it's a winner!
