    Default Padilla Achilles Salomon

    CgarDan's Review

    Smoke: Padilla Achilles ~ Salomon
    Drink(s): Porter
    Tunes: Assorted

    Wrapper: Nicaraguan
    Binder: Nicaraguan
    Filler: Nicaraguan
    Draw: Medium
    Burn: Excellent
    Misc: 90+ minutes

Pre-light: HUGE perfecto shape. Medium brown wrapper. Has a velvety sheen to it & kind of veiny. Light sweet tobacco scent. Very faint sweetness on the prelight taste.

Light: Pretty Easy. Medium draw (may clear out once through the tip)

1st 3rd: Sweet, semi creamy taste. Medium body. Medium flavor. A nice sweet tobacco taste. Hints of oil on the aftertaste. Draw has opened up to a light to medium now.

Ash: Medium gray. Swirly with dark gray. Seems strong. Holds on for 2”

2nd 3rd: Very smooth. Good flavors, as described above. Light leather & oil on aftertaste. More creamy now. Excellent.

3rd 3rd: Mostly the same. Building a little head and intensity in flavor now. Very good. Very mellow smooth & creamy. Gets a little pepper kick towards the nub, and oil takes over, but that could just be tar buildup.

Overall impression: I would / will search for these. Maybe a fiver. Thanks (again) Smoked! For allowing me this opportunity!

I had two of these from the newbie sampler and really liked it. Picked up a 5'er a month or so ago, and smoked the first last night. Between this and the 68, I'm definitely a Padilla fan so far.

I have tried a few Padilla blends in the Salomon shape. Not once have I been disappointed. Glad you enjoyed it, too.

I'll have to put this one on the list of things to try, but for now my humidor is full to capacity. Time to smoke one
