    Default Another New Guy

I'm another new guy. I've been smoking cigars off & on for the past year. I finally realized life is too short not to enjoy the nicer things in life, such as a good cigar. I'm here looking for advice on what cigars to try. You see, my experience up to now has been King Edwards and an occassional Quorum. My humidor is a plastic tupperware container in the back of a little refrigerator. Currently it is stocked with:

    2 x Swisher Sweets Cherry
    1 x Quorum Toro
    4 x King Edwards "It's a Girl"

I'm ordering a humidor & I need your advice on what to stock it with. Based upon some of the other threads, should I order a wide assortment of Acid cigars to cultivate my taste? LOL

    Bravo, Big Sarge, Bravo.

I'd like to say "thanks" to you for having taken the time to read the board, come up with an intro post without being prodded to do so and having a sense of humor -- all noobs should take note.

I would also like to say "thanks" for your service to our country (I'm making an assumption based on your name and location...).

Thank you for your support. You guessed right. I'm on my third tour. I've reached the point where I don't feel "right" unless I'm over here. But, that's another story to tell.

Welcome from Oregon! Give Artuo Fuente and CAO Golds a try. Cuesta Rey cigars are also excellent IMHO! Enjoy your time on the boards! Roger.

Welcome to the forums Sarge. I'm over here, too, just north of Echo. 21 months and counting.

The Cuestra Rey's in the PX are pretty good, and some of the locally purchased stuff can be good but you really have to look for it.

We smoke in front of our chapel on Saturday nights, and I get to find out if our new Chaplain will continue our tradition.

Welcome to the board. I'm betting that your tupperdore would be much easier to maintain and keep up with over there. Sometimes humis can be finicky and require a lot of attention, especially where the rh is pretty low. Not to say don't get a humi; it's just that tupperware works great, and a stateside humi would be cool to look forward to. And, whatever you use, keep it out of the sun.

I agree, you will be taken care of on here. I just tried the newbie sampler and wasn't disappointed at all, it gave me a bunch of different sticks to try, and it was a great deal. I strongly recommend it.
